Montana vs. PSU Game Thread

In addition to the "MU", did anyone notice during the breaks they were plugging the MSU commercial and not the UM's?? I thought the first one was a mistake, but they let it happen at least twice (that I saw).

HUGE win for our Grizzly basketball team..........beat the cats!

Nice road sweep. Gotta love our tenacity on D and unselfish play on O. Cherry, Ward and Jamar played great.

Tapscott owned us on the boards. A little worried about our interior play without Reader as we head down the stretch.

Typical Altitude broadcast with the MU and playing the MSU ads instead of ours. Bet the producer couldn't find the ads for MU or Montana University.

On to the cats..

I saw on montanagrizzlies.com twitter feed that Cherry topped 1000 points as a Griz today. Congrats to Will but more importantly congrats to the Griz on a big road win., keeping pace with Weebz.

We played well enough in the second half to lose by 20. I was a bit shocked that it was as close at the end that it was.

Man, I thought Selvig was a senior last season. Sort of reminded me of Hasquet, it seemed like that guy suited up for you guys for about eight years. ;-)

We have 2 more that will seem like that. Cherry is Junior, and Jamar is Sophomore. :thumb:

Cherry is Cherry, so he's on our radar as a player. It looks like you have a really solid player in Jamar that will be a thorn in our side for a couple of years. It seemed like he was on the floor the entire game. Does he always play that high of minutes?

PSU had a nice rally at the end, and UM make some mistakes in the last minute or so. The refs bailed out PSU about 10 times, by calling questionable fouls when the PSU player was out of control, trapped, or taking an awful shot.

Life on the road in the BSC. I really didn't have too many objections with the officiating. It was pretty physical all day, and I thought -- for once -- the BSC officials were quite consistent on what was a foul and what wasn't. That's all you can ask for.

BSC officiating is horrid. I'm just happy if it's somewhat even in bad calls. Today seemed even. Some went our way, and some went yours.

Yes, Jamar plays a lot of minutes, every game. He usually stays out of foul trouble, and has a complete game. I believe he has logged a full 40 minutes a few games, this year.

Great skill, tenacity, stamina and the ability to play all but the five explain Kareem's major minutes.
