You're exactly right! These Selvig lovers obviously don't know sh*t about basketball.

Seriously, you are still talking? You don't even watch the games, nor do you even know where they are played half the time. These "Selvig lovers" as you call them know a hell of a lot more about basketball than you do. And unlike you they also actually follow the team and know when and where the games are being played. You just sit back with your thumb up your ass flinging turds of doom everywhere until one finally sticks.

I'm not exactly thrilled with how things have been going for our post players either, but I'd still put more stock in pretty much everyone's opinion on this message board when it comes to Griz basketball than I would yours, since you just pretend to follow them so you have something else to bitch and moan about....

Look sh*t-for-brains, I have forgotten more about the game of BB than you know. I played high school ball in a 5A conference in Ohio, was an assistant high school BB coach, and was an NCAA official. What are your credentials to know Sh*t about the game?

I don't have to watch Selvig again this season to know his strengths and weaknesses. I saw him enough last year to know. So, keep "following" the Kool-Aid drinkers who think Selvig has game. The folks who know anything about BB know that he is one-dimensional.

Selvig is still getting back in playing shape, but he's still UM's second leading rebounder, .5 behind Kareem who has played 10 minutes more per game than Selvig; and third leading scorer, behind Cherry and Kareem. The past two years, Selvig had been UM's second leading rebounder, behind Qvale.

The Griz are a much better team with Selvig.

Agreed! They are pretty thin at the post and I doubt they would have as much success the rest of the season without Selvig. Growler-did you generally know what town you were in during your glory days as a player, coach and official? ;)

As Growler keeps telling us, he's forgotten more than he's ever known.

This game did prove that UND can be competitive with the best the Big Sky has to offer.

Two years ago, UND men's basketball was in shambles. Now its top five players are all sophomores that are improving weekly as they learn to play with each other (with occasional setbacks).

Next year, when UND comes aboard promises to be an exciting year for our school:

Possibly challenge in men's basketball
Possibly the top team in women's basketball (promising recruiting class coming in to give us even more depth)
Dominant team in volleyball (much higher RPI than any Big Sky team)
If we get a real QB, UND football could also have an impact.

Does the Big Sky have a all-sports trophy? UND may very well challenge for that.

(Granted, golf and x-country we suck in, don't have a men's tennis team yet - one will be in place next year, softball has a new coach, T&F we're starting to up the scholarships).

Do we get bonus points for having baseball, M&W hockey, and M&W swimming?

Hopefully, UND can help push the Big Sky to a higher level.

Whatever. At least I don't spend me life hanging around young men all the time. Didn't you play football for Penn State? Was that the defining time of your life?

Yeah, and if the coach would've put you in, you would've been state champions...right?

Just because you sat court side for HS games and wiped the sweat up off the floor during timeouts doesn't mean you were actually on the team pal... sorry to burst your little fantasy world bubble... Sure, your job was somewhat important. No one wants the players slipping and hurting themselves on the court. So you probably saved a few people from getting sprained ankles.... good job!

Oh yeah, I forgot you were an NCAA official too right? That's just another of the numerous lies you tell non stop on eGriz..... I could try to list all of the lies that I remember you telling, but it'd take quite a while to type them all up...and I know I'd forget some (which I'm sure others would be more than happy to point out).

You really need to just stop munching the free samples in your drug rep bag... the hallucinations they are giving you where you think you've done every job out there, played every sport out there, and that people actually give a rats ass about your opinion can't be good for you....

Yeah, I guess you are right...you don't have to watch the games or pay attention to Griz BB, or even know when and where the games are being played to have an opinion... Any dickwad can post their opinion on a message board (as you've proven).

Most of us though try to actually have some tiny clue about what we are saying, and follow the sport that we are commenting on, and at least know where the games are being played....

You try to make it sound like you follow Griz BB, and then say:

Why pretend to follow Griz BB? Just so you can be an attention whore, post your drivel on eGriz and tell more lies? Do you honestly think anyone here buys your bullshit anymore? Even if you do occasionally have an opinion that's based in reality, all it does is make people question their own opinions... "Oh shit.. I agree with Growler1 on something? Hm...maybe I ought to rethink this a bit..."

Actually, I played with a team that was deemed by some to be better than Penn St and won the Lambert Trophy for the best team in the East over Penn St.

The jealousy dripping from your post is obvious. I just pinched one off which knows more about me than you do. :x
