Montana Vs Montana State Lets do it then talk about it !

Martin nails a 3 at the buzzer by getting through a trap! 33-23 UM halftime lead. You gotta like the way this game is going so far.

I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but we are getting some big buckets from role players. Nice job to the Grizzlies.

what happened on that last play, I lost my feed, apparently martin scored??

I kind of lost the feed too for a minute. It sounded like Martin was trapped, stepped between the 2 defenders and banked in a 3 from about 28ft at the buzzer.

Martin is not a dirty player. He's the type of player you hate when he plays for the other team, but love when he plays for your team (and upsets their fans  ). There's a big distinction there.

Knocked Durham down to the ground... announcer made it sound like he elbowed him, and the whole Cat bench jumped up in protest.

Sounded to me like Durham flopped. My view on the radio was much better than your view on the radio!!!

You can't fault an offensive player or get mad at the refs when they split a trap. It's the defense's fault that they weren't in good enough to position to either: a) keep the player trapped, b) take the charge.

Martin was fighting through the trap, like any player would attempt to do. The refs may have missed the call, but to call him dirty for fighting throught the trap just does not work for me.

Don't go by what the radio announcer said, he's biased. On the radio, you have go by what the referees call. If Martin's elbow was so apparent, the refs would have called it.

I call him dirty because that is about the 4th elbow I've seen him land against the Cats.

Oh, you saw that trap from the radio? Maybe you can tell me where to get one of those new radios!

:o :o The name of this topic is do it and then talk about it. Go to the smack board or wait until after the game and then go over there. :o :o

I meant over the course of the season. You guys are awfully defensive of a player who has a reputation as being a punk, I'm not the first person to call him like he is and I won't be the last. Anways, that little comment of mine induced much more conversation that intended, I'm back to my board now.

From what I remember of the first game, Durham plays VERY tight defense, especially when the person he is guarding picks up the dribble. He is all over the other player and its really not surprising that he gets knocked down (Maybe he flopped?), elbowed, etc etc. He will get the occasional offensive foul called due to that, and will probably get a few fouls called on him along with a few steals, forced timeouts etc. He kind of surprised me how active he was on defense.

If he does get knocked down that doesn't mean the other player is a dirty player, even if its from a elbow or shoulder. The other player is trying to get Durham off of him. What should the other player do? Just stand there and be picked or call a timeout? Just like if Durham gets a little contact, he'll probably flop...is that wrong to flop when you really weren't fouled? No, that's good basketball.

I think you proved Montana Gym Rat's earlier point. You hate him because he doesn't play for you. If he was a Cat, you'd love him :)
