That's not funny. I've heard a lot of bobcat fans around Lewistown saying they beat #1 NDSU. I corrected a few of them and they shut up.Potomac Griz said:1Griz_Fan said:I'll bet my season tix the Cats back out of this game...again!!!
What a bunch of chickens, they backed out and bussed in UND instead
Now watch, they'll probably brag about beating NDSU...sort of like how they talk about their mythical 1984 championship.
Thanks for clearing that up, well done. But just to add to the confusion it came out from some Bizon fans that the campus in Fargo is a Satellite, so really a branch campus of UND. So it sounds like the UND President, who is apparently in charge of both the main campus and the branch campus, can designate which of teams he wishes to play whom. No doubt he pulled the 'ol switcheroo again.Pin2Win said:So the truth is finally coming out. Primarily because nobody in Montana really gives a s#it about anything in North Dakota, two years ago MSU actually thought they'd be playing NDSU in Grand Forks, because supposedly the Sioux no longer existed. And because they didn't want to travel two years in a row to that godforsaken place, they talked the Griz in going instead to kick off a 3 year run of UM visiting there. And just to screw with their arch-rival even more, MSU gave UM all sorts of game tape of NDSU's vaunted run game. Little did the Griz know that they'd run into a no-name team with the "Greatest Show on Turf for one season" and lose a game.
The plot thickens:
MSU didn't chicken out against NDSU. NDSU, seeing the brilliance of MSU in what it did to UM, deceived MSU into thinking it was getting another sweet deal by buying out the game in Fargo and then NDSU would return for another game this season. Big win for MSU, right? MSU's greed blinds them and NDSU put UND on the bus and sent them over confusing a lot of unsuspecting Bobcat fans. Bobcats win, a few idiots in Lewistown (supposedly according to credible source #1 jcu) still thinking they just beat the #1 team in the land. NDSU laughs as MSU is still called a chicken and is left horribly confused. Good play, NDSU. Good play.
So now Sportsnetwork is saying MSU will travel to NDSU in round two of the FCS playoffs. Are we really to believe that? Or is this just the beginning of MSU trying to get back at NDSU? Guess we'll have to wait and see.....
