This would be awesome!!! 50 "lifelong Seachicken fans" modeling their brand new jerseys, with the tags still on them (so they can return them when they lose).

Ask 10 Seahawk fans who Kenny Easley is, and at least 7 will have no clue.
There were never 50 Seahawk fans in Montana until 4 years ago........that's the problem.
You need to climb out of your hole, we have had huge Seahawk parties for many years. We had to rent a place to hold all the Seahawk fans for their first Super Bowl and that was in Polson. There were about 2 Steeler fans at that party, the rest were Seahawk.

Honest question....How long do you have to be a fan of a team before you are no longer a "Bandwagon" fan. I don't really have a dog in this fight (I have been a Detroit Lions fan for as long as I can remember crying). My 9 year old son is a Seahawks fan, is he a "Bandwagon" fan because he has only liked them for about 5 years? Is it 10,20,30 years before you are a true "Fan"? Do you have to have liked the team when they sucked to truly be a fan? I never understood this.

Kind of hard to label kids bandwagon fans, IMO. Growing up in the 80's I was a 49ers fan for obvious reasons, which my Sconnie family loved I'm sure. But as my dad followed the Packers I started to do the same and naturally have been a Pack fan ever since.

I'm big on loyalty, through the thick and thin. When I see people that were Patriots fans 15 years, Steeler fans 10 years ago, and now are Seahawks fans... those just bug me for some reason.

And for me with favorite teams it's

Griz - duh
Packers - since... early 90's... I remember the transition from Don Majkowski to Favre, I wasn't even a teenager yet.
Badgers - Wisconsin ties, been that way my whole life
Mariners... the only baseball team I could watch every night after the strike in the mid-90's, on Northwest sports

That's it, I don't have a favorite NHL or NBA team, I like to watch certain players but don't really follow either too much.

I've been a Seahawks fan even before you were rooting for the 49'ers. Any still put me in the "BW" catagory.

Something tells me there will be a lot of 2012 Bobcat football fans at this shindig.

The same year they became Seahawks fans too right?

Ha ha, I imagine this is the reason most people here don't like the Seahawks and take it out on Hawk Fans. I like this picture better, though. Remember this one? It cost Dennis Erickson his job and the Seahawks a playoff spot, But it did lead to instant replay. If if we reeallly want to talk about blown calls we can just post the entire 2006 Super Bowl.

Back to the original point of this post. Montana is a place of serious football fans. Some of us Seahawk fans go back MANY years. If there are serious Seahawks fan and remember names like Sam Adkins, Dave Brown, Dr. Dan, Herrera, Zorn, Easley, Warner....come on down to Jakers on Sunday. If you're a young fan and more familiar with names like Kreig, Kennedy, Alexander, Hasselbeck, or even Lynch, Wilson or Sherman you are still welcome.

A lot of Griz fans became Griz fans in the mid 90's. A lot of Cat fans became Cats fans in the 80's. Seem to be a lot more NDSU fans recently...

Griz fan since 1981.
Chief fan since birth.
Royals fan from birth till HS. Now Mariner fan.
Hate all things nba.
Waiting for a Seattle franchise for an NHL favorite.

A real fan wouldn't have left Steve Largent, John Yarno and Terry Beeson off of their list.......you must have Google d Zorn

Bandwagon at best

Why would you want to start a seahawks bar...as soon as they go back to medicre play all their fans will disappear just as quickly as they all showed up about 4 years ago....that franchises fan base iis a joke!

It will just turn from a seahawk bar into a Panther bar (or whatever the flavor of the week may be.)

Good story Grizbeer. I hear that bandwagon comment all the time and I don't really get how it started. I have followed the Seahawks since 79 and attended my first playoff game in Miami in early 80s. I recall being around a lot of Seahawks fans in those early years. As for good Seahawk bar, Swanee's is not bad in Polson-vast majority of fans are Seahawk and the food is great for reasonable price. I will be in Orange County sometime tomorrow. Anyone know of Seahawks bars down there? Weird it will be on at 10am.

There are obviously diehard Seahawk fans, and that's great, I just wish they would break out their Largent jerseys so we could know who they are. The bandwagon comment comes from people like my wife's Aunt and Uncle who didn't give two shits about the NFL their whole lives until three years ago and now they fill their Facebook feeds with Seahawk shit all the damn time like they were fans since they were kids.

That said, fan bases are built on bandwagon fans. It's just how it works. If there weren't bandwagon fans, the Rams stadium would have been full all year with passionate fans, but it wasn't. You can be annoyed with them, that's your right, but it won't change.

I will add that elitist fans are as annoying with their attitude that you can't be a fan of something unless you were born into it. Teams anywhere will take most any and all fans they can get!

I still remember watching Dan Doornink and Paul Skansi... I have a Curt Warner #28 shirt from when I was 7 or so... That's all I need to trump the bandwagon BS, but if people would really lose sleep over whether I was a real fan, then so be it...

Then it's easy to mention the hell of being a fan during the Behring years...

Griz

All for more than 40 years, through probably more "thin" than "thick," and I've never wavered.
