I find this all too be a little creepy... Good god! Really? Posters on this board do this kind of stuff?
If you think this is creepy go check out a rivals.com message board for a major program like Michigan or Alabama. These guys know what a 2015 prospect from New Jersey had for lunch yesterday.

It's funny cause it's true. If any of those recruits post something on twitter, it'll be on a message board within 5 minutes. Just ridiculous if you ask me.

Northwest...You are one hundred percent correct. Your scenario is EXACTLY like the one that took place earlier this year when a MSU Booster called Gunnar Brekke's HOUSE and asked if he was going to MSU over UM. The next thing you know..msusportsinfo posted a no-no warning on BN. So actually, I totally adhere to your knowledge from which you speak because this already happened to your favorite program.

Secondly, I'm quite certain Copper has written several times how he was NOT talking to a Grizzly coach.

And lastly, can we lock this thread? How is Papa G ever going to get any sleep after seeing this threa?. He will be up all night, for days, writing letters and e-mails to the NCAA about this gross violation! I think he just finally got some sleep from his last bout of arch-rival, compliance, tipster writing.

I kid Papa G of course. He is really the most in the know poster on either board (5-year postseason ban for the Griz forthecoming!)

I'm kind of lost here. Huh?

Right....

You don't recall an extremely prominent booster and bcn poster who stated on bcn that he called Brekke at home while he was still committed to UM, and posted that after their conversation he was confident Brekke was leaning toward changing his commit to msu.

Then msu's AD posted on bcn that boosters should never call prospective athletes, and then as I understand it, the entire thread was removed from the board.

But yeah, we all buy that HUGE violation simply slipped your mind.....

Holy hell. At least try to be credible.

I recall UM's compliance department coming on this board with a similar warning.

Grizfan95.....We are all aware of what Dalls' dad has said on EGRIZ. Including that he doesn't want his son to play in-state. BUT...two things. First, to say UM and MSU don't want him is absolutely absurd. He has had a full-ride offer from both schools since the beginning of the 2012 high school season. Secondly, from what I've seen, and from youths who have interacted with him, Dallas is a very nice kid, extremely intelligent, well-spoken and very mature. He also is VERY PROUD to be a Butte Bulldog and I've seen no evidence to suggest he thinks he is too good for Butte High or anywhere else. If he has said, he wants to play college football out-of-state, it's because he is BEING SHOWN that he is indeed GOOD ENOUGH to play beyond the FCS (UM, MSU) level. His father aside, the kid has shown me nothing to suggest he's a prima anything. And believe me, both Delaney and Ash want him BADLY, no matter what you or his dad says.

 Great post, havgrizfan.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dallas and his Dad (who was not posting on eGriz). Dallas is VERY likeable in my opinion, and an awesome teammate (according to players I've heard from). His Dad, from my experiences, has been a very supportive and good fan.

1 point of small contention, the opening article in this thread says Cook threw for 3,613...and that is a similar number (3,644) that the Billings Gazaette had him throwing for the day before the title game...he then threw for 243 more yards, 2 TDs in the title game (according to the Montana Standard), which would bring his total season passing yards to 3,856, 33 TDs...which is extremely close to the 3,850 yards, 32 TDs that the Billings Gazette lists as his total. That's a lot of passing yards and passing TDs in one season! He also rushed for 631 yards and another 7 TDs, and that's after taking away the lost yards from sacks. Not bad for a 16 year old, lots of time to improve.

Great person, and FBS claiber QB. :D
