Interesting to see the sexist “make me a sammich” crowd suddenly becoming women’s rights advocates. The culture wars can sure lead them to some interesting mental gymnastics.
Montana had one TG distance runner. As I recall she didn’t set any records nor was she on scholarship. Her own admission was that her post TG times were significantly slower than her per TG times, due undoubtedly to the absence of Testosterone. It’s an interesting discussion but for fucks’ sake, is Montana so threatened by the TG non-issue that we are ready to give up playoff games that bring joy to tens of thousands just to mollify a handful of crusty old fossils who, if truth be told, probably don’t want minorities playing sports either.
When I was at UM in the 80s my buddies and I, all with at least some high school basketball, would (unofficially) scrimmage the Lady Griz in the rec annex. We were full on testosterone laden guys and went six foot to 6-3 across the roster. We out rebounded the hell out of Rob’s finest, yes we did!.

Good question! As I believe CDA mentioned above, these cultural war decisions (gay marriage, legalized weed, transgendered bathroom use) make such a small impact on most of our lives once they become the law of the land.
Taking history into account, this country has always moved toward expanding the rights and liberties of groups. We’re not going to take away women’s suffrage, we’re not going to repeal gay marriage or re-segregate schools. Those who think transgendered rights will be restricted rather than expanded in the future are on the wrong side of history.
