According to ESPN we are in the toughest bracket with Villanova, BC, Ohio State, and Florida.

Who cares what bracket we are in! We got a great seed and we can beat Nevada. I have seen them play 3 times this year and they are beatable. Fazekas, Kemp, and Charlo are very good players. The do not have that good of depth, but they do have a lot of size.

Did anyone see the sigh of relief on Gonzaga's face when they found it they dodged the Griz ?? ok, just kidding

I used to watch your coach play at Lawlor (he was an absolute stud) and I know he's done a heck of a job with your team. First, yes you have a chance to win this game, but you are getting way to happy. When you say we have no big wins, you are leaving off a win in Lawrence vs Kansas. We only beat Sac by 8 but we played our bench for big chunks of the game. We lost to a few teams we shouldn't have but that was long ago and we've won 14 in a row. We are 10-4 on the road and we've beaten 12 teams in the top 100 while you've beaten 1. Also, you forget who you have lost too. 3 of the worst teams in college basketball. Yes, you can win, but you seem to think it's a coin toss. It's not. We've come a long way since the Big Sky days.

Good luck and I look forware to watching our teams play.

I'm sorry, but it almost looks like some of you don't watch much college hoops outside of the Big Sky, which isn't necessarily a problem.

Nevada played (and beat) Kansas (at Kansas) and Pacific (at Pacific). Nevada's RPI is like 17 (19?).

By the way..... we don't have a player by the name of Harris.

I know, I was typing while I was reading some other stuff...too excited about playing Nevada!I meant to add Charlo. As for your win against Kansas, it came in their 5th game of the year and was a 2 point win. Not bad but Kansas was playing a bunch of freshmen and sophomores then. Kansas has won 15 of their last 16 so they are a totally different team now.

Seattle Wolf,

I don't think anyone means to disrespect Nevada. They are building a great program and have done well in the tourney last few years. Its just that we as UM fans are so excited about a 12 seed and a legitimate CHANCE to win a game in the tourney. Most of the times we make the tourney we are looking at playing a 1 or 2 seed. Obviously Nevada will be a heavy favorite, but we look at this as the most winnable game in the tourney we have probably ever had.

Griz would no way have been an at large - first to be an at large would mean losing the BSC title, which would have lowered the Griz tournament ranking considerably. 2nd, Griz were solid for a 14, very close to a 13, so the 12 can be credited to getting a regional match-up, and Larry K impressing the committee. Plus it makes a better story, Griz playing an old conference foe, and imagine the buzz if they win, and the calls for the Griz to go to the WAC (I'm not advocating that, just saying it will be a story line if the Griz beat the best team in the WAC).

I am thankful for the 12th seed, and believe the Griz will represent the conference well, but no way did the Griz deserve an at-large if they didn't win the conference.

Wolfpack fans settle down!!!

In 1975 teh Griz played UCLA, mabey the best team ever in NCAA BBALL

Last year the Griz played a #1 seed Washington

The Griz played against #1 UNLV in their hayday, remember Larry Johnson?

I believe it was Arizona one year a #2?

So you see why the Griz and fans are excited!!!

Its a game that the Griz can win, and if the PACK LOOKS PAST THE bsc, THEY will GET DUMPED!!!!

I concur... I don't think too many people on this board over the age of 12 mean any disrespect to Nevada.

I think the excitement is over being ranked 12th and having a SHOT at a win, as opposed to the usual: get ranked 16 and play a team that's a lock on the Final Four.

I agree, I don't think there is any disrespect towards Nevada, just thankfulness that for once A BSC team caught a break and didn't get screwed by the committee, but got a better seed than expected. Excuse our giddiness at having good fortune instead of bad with the selection committee, we're not used to it.

How do Nevada fans feel about 1) being a 5, and 2) getting Montana as a 12? I would think it is a positive for both teams, a 5 seems like a fair seed for Nevada, and 12 arguably high for Montana. And the 4 and 13 in the bracket look like good match ups, so IMO for once neither team has room to bitch.
