Why does that not surprise me? You will be glad to know those old bleachers are still alive. The Mavs got them from the U of M and used them for years. They got new ones and passed them on to Westside Little League and we just renovated and installed them! :o

Thanks for the travel back in time. I attended every home game a Dornblazer during my time at UM. I graduated the year before and forgotten about the Team of the Eighties infamous Fiz-bone offense as we called it.

He was tossing bottles down there.

Like Everett, I think I was a sophomore. Unlike Everett, I think I was a 7th year sophomore. But my memory is hazy.

Dornblaser II looked like most of the current Big Sky "stadiums" - porta potties and a field encircled by a running track. At least the Griz faced better competition back then with those future FBS jumpers...

Yep. Couldn't tell you if we ever got one, but we tried. Our aim did NOT improve as the game went on. And we usually ran out of ammo by half-time. Bad planning on our part.

I would've been there as a sophomore. I would've been drunk.

I would have been there with you. I would have been freezing my ass on those bleachers and bitching about the lack of offense production

How could they leave off Mike Van Diest and Joe Glen as coaches? Vic Clark was the Oline coach and Jim Hogan was the linebackers coach.

Love the old uniforms. Forgot how much slipping occured on natural grass. Is the film speed slowed, or do they all seem as slow as PR in old Dartmouth footage?

I just love it that on the opening kickoff both teams are running in the same direction; now that's Special Teams coaching. I mean, I don't see no one getting blocked out there, huh, dude.

There's more than one reason why the Griz were 3-8 in '85.

The start of my junior year. That stadium was cold and NOT loud. ;)

Probably why it was called a "Field" and not a "Stadium."
