I've said for a while that one of the things we should be most proud of is that we are graduating so many players that are at or close to achieving a master's degree.

Yes, Elrod, and unlike the 30 + Shi##y Kitty football players enrolled in MSU's business school, GRIZ football players like Trevyn Gradney can and are earning an MBA at UM's business school, Montana's premier business school and home of the Montana BBER, Bureau of Business and Economic Research !!! .

I thought you were being sarcastic with that post. No, Hauck did not have "quite a few of his better recruits getting arrested." That is laughable. Please provide names and the results of their cases that showed "quite a few of his better recruits" in trouble. I'll give you a hint, you would find one or two total who were found guilty of anything other than some underage drinking after he left.

Trumaine Johnson who is probably the best athlete from the Hauck first era was arrested for disorderly conduct. Beau Donaldson has been in and out of prison. Jordan Johnson was arrested but found not guilty in court, JD Quinn was arrested for 2 DUIs in less than a year after being kicked off OU for character issues.

Jordan Johnson was found innocent. Not only that, the University had to pay him six figures for how poorly they handled that investigation. Shouldn't even be mentioned here, really.
You are making the claim now that three players getting in trouble is equivalent to "Bobby Hauck recruited criminals and thugs who do not care about school" and "quite a few of his better recruits getting arrested" based on THAT?! Three guys out of hundreds that Hauck recruited is "quite a few?"
That is pretty par for the course in D1 college football, if we are all honest.
And all dismissed from the team. Because Bobby has always had standards. He has long been called a "disciplinarian," and his detractors call him "authoritarian." But you are saying that he is also runs a loose ship and lets kids run wild? This is one of the most trolling takes I have seen. And to take a great success of the program and the students involved and turn it into a way to try to attack past athletes as "thugs?" That's low.
All true. You do of course remember that this was a concern addressed very publicly and in person by Bobby, when he was re-hired. It is also addressed with all players being recruited by the coaching staff now and also academics (academic standing is also a requirement for entering the portal and a part of bonuses in Bobby's contract). So bringing it up here is living in the past and in poor taste. Read above post also.
Jordan played for Robin Pflugrad (freshman year 2010) not Bobby also.

Soon - won't even need to be tracked as players will have no need to actually go to school.
Schools may offer some players scholarships to pursue degrees. Others will just consume NIL and never attend a class .

You are absolutely right that he played under him. I just didn't want to head down that path and then have the original poster start attacking that line of logic by saying "well, Hauck recruited him and he signed a few weeks later when Pflugrad was there," and then ignore the rest of my points. You're totally right, I just didn't want to give him an off ramp for the main part of the debate, which was an entirely incorrect and unfair claim that was dropped at a time when he should have just been praising the entire program for the good work of actually remembering the "student" half of "student-athlete."
Well the good news is that Bobby didn't recruit him. He was Robin's hand-picked QB that he had known prior to becoming the Griz coach that he wanted to run his Chip Kelly Oregon offense, so he'd be wrong either way lol.
