A little undersized on the DL? Don't blast me, I know they're talented players but seem kind of light.

The 3 down lineman are 285, 270 and 258. Sims, the 270 guy, is one of the strongest guys on the team.

If our Offense can be productive this year, they Down line men, won't get worn down as in years past. Being able to move your feet with some agility is more important than being big and slow!

What had to have occurred for Rice to leave Rocky as an All-American to be here at Montana? I think this would be a super intriguing story in terms of where and what communication was had.

Cat d-lineman are: 299, 261 and 259.

Buck is 235.

UM big 3 average: 271. MSU big 3 average: 273.

Yes, you are correct. UM down d-lineman are undersized. 2 pounds less than Cats' big 3. Ha.

Don't confuse him with facts!!!

From everything I read in the papers, it had nothing to do with anything bad at Rocky, but rather he felt he accommplished everything he could at Rocky and wanted to prove to himself he could play at this level. The fact he is tenatively listed as a starter on defense speaks volume to how talented he is & likely made the right decision.

are Nagler and Nelson Healthy ? ......expected more out of them...

They’re gonna go really deep this year on defense! I would bet Nagler, Nelson, Vinyard, Babros will be in there a lot! This is gonna be a fun defense to watch! Don’t see them tiring out and giving up leads at the end of games like last year! Go Griz!!!

Rice, O'Connell, Deming
Grossman, Nagler, Nelson, Vinyard, Babros
+ Mamula

Gonna be fun to watch!

Read the article. Seems like the kid is a stud on stilts. Always pull for someone out of the 6-man football ranks !!
Completely agree! I have just never heard of a grad transfer coming from an NAIA school. Was he recruited? Did he have some sort of "tryout"? I guess they are mainly questions that will likely go unanswered. I just think it would be an interesting set of events.

Isn't Sims 280 now? Thought I read that. And Gubner himself said he's now 290 lbs just the other day.

Poorgriz getting slapped around here again. It’s no wonder people don’t take you very serious. Do a little research man. GTS...google that shit

Don't know. I just used the numbers on the depth chart posted above. If so, Griz down lineman are 3 pounds heavier than Cats'. This could be huge. Could change the season and outcome of Cat game.

Not hearing much about Lorenzo Brown.............has he not progressed as expected?
He’s still young but yeah, he’s behind quite a few guys. Doesn’t help him that McGouin and Mamula are getting tons of praise from Coach Hauck either

Ryder Rice may make most impact this year, length and lethal speed, when dropping into coverage the length will give him a large span of interruption, his speed rushing will have huge impact.

Ryder is a walk-on graduate transfer. Once he got accepted into a UM Graduate Program he was academically eligible. All that was left was to walk on and prove he is athletically eligible. Clearly, he did that! He’s got a motor that don’t quit and I’m confident he is going to make his presence known at Wa-Griz and across the Big Sky Conference.

What a cool story! He must have been an absolute force in the NAIA to come in and win a starting job right away!

He was an All American last year. He wrecked people in that division.

How about that his backup, Patrick O’Connell, also played NAIA. He’s from Kalispell and went to University of Mary before transferring and walking on here.

Or it might have something to do with the returning talent from last year.
I'm not saying he can't do it, but to think the overall skill level from naia to fcs isn't a jump is being a bit disrespectful.
It can be done . All I'm saying is pump the brakes a little.
