Montana at Weber

I agree, Rule. I'll admit to being a little down on this team early in the year, when they weren't shooting well, and seemingly led the known world in fouls. But even then, they were playing lights-out D, and now that the offense has come together and everyone looks more comfortable in the offensive flow, it's been mighty fun to watch. If they can continue to get improved play from Hutch (and get Reader back), this team has a huge upside.

Everett, with or without Reader, we need our post play to develop. Hutchison is starting to look like a good rebounder, and surprisingly enough, FG% is over 60%. Reader's return would certainly help. If, there is to be a positive with Reader not playing, it has to be more minutes to build, and look at Weisner, and Henderson, with Steward playing as undersized PF, sometimes. I have watched the NAU game 3 times already, and really am liking what I am breaking down with the youngsters.

Henderson, and Weisner are going to be very nice players, and will see increase roles, depending on match ups. They are both versatile, and can do a little of everything. Henderson is an amazing athlete, Weisner, is more athletic than one would think, and is extremely heady, and in the right places, at the right times, on both ends of the court. They both receive passes ready to shoot, and square up real nice. Henderson looks solid shooting, but Weisner's shot is text book, and absolutely beautiful to watch.

I am very confident with any of our Freshman on the court. Deshields is tough, and fearless. Gregory, needs to get stronger, but looks like a true pg, and his shot will come around. The future is bright, and I hope Tinkle throws all the dogs we have at Weber State. :thumb:

so the pressure is on Weber to win at home.

THIS!

This has already been a successful road trip for Montana. Weebs has all the pressure in this game.

Tinkle's pregame talk should be a pretty easy one these days, rather it be on the road, or at home. "Keep doing what we have been doing, and take care of the ball."

Seriously, the GRIZ are playing some AWESOME ball, and on both ends of the court the past month. Scary part is, they are only getting better. I hope the GRIZ can continue find minutes for the young guys. The NAU game could not have gone better for the GRIZ.

A fresher, than expected GRIZ team will certainly help against Weber State.
If they can hold the fouls to a minimum, UM will win...depends upon which Weber team shows up....

I am excited to watch the game tonight. I hope the Griz can hang in there and pull off the upset on the road. Cherry and Selvig will need to have a big night on defense. I thought Ward played really well at NAU. I am hoping Jamer can shine on offense. If Hutchison and Steward step up watch out Weber. Go Griz.

now I'm scared...

Actually I like Stewards game very much. It looks like Cherry is shooting much better this season 38.5% from behind the arc & 77% from the ft line. I think the 2 previous season he was around 23% from 3, so that is much improved, and adds another element for him because he's so quick. You guys are right about one thing the pressure is on WSU tonight in a big way. Bullinger looked tentative in 10 minutes of play In his first game back in 5 weeks against MSU & our other starting forward Otis (knee scope) dressed, but did not play and hasn't since the byu game on Dec 7. Freshman backup center James Hajek is out for another 2 weeks with a dislocated knee cap against PSU a week ago.

We will still be small tonight especially if Bullinger and Otis are limited in action, but I fully expect a hard fought victory for WSU tonight against a talented group of tough defense minded Grizzlies.

Who thinks the coaches will let Cherry and Lillard go head to head most the game?

If the officiating is tight, I don't see it happening often. If it is lighter, we could see a lot of that match up.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 112th meeting between Weber State and Montana. Weber State has played Montana more than any opponent in its history. The Wildcats hold a 63-48 all-time series advantage over the Grizzlies but Montana has won four of the last five games played between the two teams. The Grizzlies won two of three against the ‘Cats last year. In games played in Ogden Weber State leads 40-15 all-time and have won seven of the last eight played at the Dee Events Center.

MIssoulian says this is the 110th meeting, and Weber leads the series 58-51.

Bigskytv was great for the NAU game. I'm pumped up for the Griz D, seeing who can handle Bamforth.

BSTV already has a stream and picture for the weeeebs game, so things look promising.

Still having troubles, it's like the server is struggling. Not having trouble with any other site, streaming or not.
