MONTANA @ ARIZONA

I think there'll be a concerted effort to get the ball in Rorie's hands in the second half. He looks like he's getting a feel for his mid range game. If he gets going and Oguine drives and finishes like we know he can AND stay out of foul trouble, I like our chances. Kramer is doing just enough on D to alter the shots of the Arizona big man. Fingers crossed. Go Griz!
 
Ahhh....no Akon hurts but no Oguine is killing our offense....that is why the struggling, Falls is trying but cannot drive to the hoop, like Mike and way to TO prone
 
Hurts having Pridgett and Oguine on the bench. Hopefully the refs wont take them out of the game in the 2nd half too with bullshit calls. Need them on the court for some more offense.

Sounds like Walton wants to hand the refs some printed rule books after the game to explain what's a charge and what's not a charge :P

Impressed so far with how Kramer is playing against Arizona's big. He's doing well down there. Great D by the Griz all half. Hope that can continue, Arizona seems really bothered by the zone (as they were against Baylor too)
 
Great D, but the offense has got to get more aggressive.

I love our guard play, but if Rorie wants to sniff the NBA his situational awareness must improve. When Falls made that steal and passed to Rorie he had two guys trailing him. Be aggressive and throw that down; not lay it up. He can dunk that with ease as we’ve all seen it. Instead it was a great block by UA. That would have sustained our momentum and the game would have been tied. Instead they have a 7 point lead at the half. Not horrible deficit but not good either.

This team needs to gel. I’m afraid it won’t till Akoh is 100% ready to go for every game. There is no identity with our bigs.

Arizona starting to pull away. We're just too slow down low and can't shoot the 3 or hit shots consistently enough to be a threat in games like this. Arizona up 32-21, 16ish minutes left in the game.
 
I can't watch, but are we not able to drive at all? Can't get into the lane? We need to attack and get to the rim.
 
Wheels coming off now. Arizona is way better and we can't shoot worth a damn. Our spot up shooters (Manuel, Dorsey, Moorhead) aren't hitting and every time we drive we can't finish. 13 min left, Arizona up 38-21.

Nope. They’re long, play way faster and their defense crashes fast. If we do get it in the ball gets swatted out (most of the time). Bummer to watch. Good experience nonetheless. Missing Akoh big time.

We are, but Oguine nor Rorie haven't been able to finish. AZs size down low is killing us.
 
Man the Griz look baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. Which is to be expected against a Pac12 Powerhouse. Offense has been stale all year, sadly looks like that will continue at least for the night. My personal expectations for this team were high, maybe I undervalued Fab's contributions...
 
I think even last year's team would have struggled mightily against AZ. Our speed and quickness are excellent in the Big Sky, but other than Oguine and maaaaybe Rorie, everyone else is slow in games like this against these kind of teams.
 
Not able to watch but it sounds like there is still something intangible missing with this team. Maybe there just isnt leadership out there. Maybe they just dont gel together. Maybe it is still too early to know. Definitely concerning. Will still remain hopeful and still expecting them to figure it out, play like we all hoped at some point this season and win the BSC.

They're 10 games in with basically the same team as last year. If they haven't figured it out by now they can kiss the big sky goodbye.

Unfortunately, the level the Griz compete at, we hope for multiple great years in a row like last year, but those special seasons tend to be rare.
