Home field advantage wins this one

Just like last November against the #1 team in the country. Boy how dissapointing it was for the selection show   You cat fans just don't get it do you.

win-win for the griz the way i see it. you lose and who cares....you're supposed to lose at app. you win, and you bring a LOT of momentum through the rest of your season. and a ton of confidence as well.

Agreed. As long as they don't go in and lose by 21 or something. :o

Montana wins because of the Offensive Line paving the way for Moore, Nguyen, Canada and on occasion TM. Control the line of scrimmage and limit the ASU offense time of possession. Wear Appalachian State defense down, down, down. Keep mistakes at a minimum. Keep the crowd out of the game. I hear a lot of talk about ASU speed. UM has speed to match. Just as they did in 2009. Like most, I have the utmost respect for the Mountaineers Program. But I don't see UM losing this game for the simple fact they have a mental edge on ASU. Missing four key starters does not help them much either. By the way, the Griz have an opportunistic Defense that will create great opportunities for the offense. GO GRIZ!!! 38 -20. :twocents:

Not sure that it will affect any predictions but Coach Moore said on the pregame teleconference that they are seriously considering playing true freshman Tysean Holloway now that starting RB Rod Chisholm is out for the next month or so. They really wanted to give him a redshirt so we could get four years of a full workload from him but it appears we may not have that luxury.

If we stick to the remaining backs outside of Holloway, it will be tough to move the ball on the ground IMO. However, he is a very talented back and if they decide to lift the redshirt, help is on the way. Powerful kid who can run between the tackles. Hopefully we find out for sure in the next day or two.

This would be great news for AppSt! I think we all hope that both teams are in their best health (mentally & physically), & at the top of their game going into this game. I want to see the two best teams in the FCS going at it this weekend, & I want everyone nation wide to see what we're all so crazy about!!! :thumb:

Absolutely. Regardless of the outcome, I want to see a well played, injury free game with both teams putting the best product they've got on the field. One of our safeties that missed last week with a minor injury should be ready to go as well, and our secondary needs all the depth we can get right now.

With two starters suspended and two more injured badly, it has been a tough week on both sides of the ball in Mountaineer country but we are starting to see some silver linings!

Home field, more experienced, better coached, and they WILL be focused on the Griz, you can count on that. Thats the bad news. Good news is the Griz will bring home the game ball. They just need to remember to bring the LARGE can of Vaseline. I doubt the Mountaineers will offer any.

Hope you guys enjoy it, should be an excellent game.

You dudes think this is gonna be an offensive explosion. I think the defense is gonna shine here. Its the perfect scenario, and we both have defenses that have been practicing against this offense SINCE SPRING BALL.

Griz: 10

App: 9 (They score a their third field goal of the game to go up 9-7 after the Griz score on the first drive of the second half. This game comes down to the last play again, and the griz are on Apps 27 yardline, going for a field goal with 0:02 left. The snap is good, the hold is good, whatever the eff our kickers name is, knocks it through the middle of the uprights. App is devastated, and comes here next year with an even bigger chip on their shoulders....MAKING FOR THE GREATEST GAME IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY.)

Lider of the pack

The Griz massive OL will bulldoze their way through the hillbillies. App LB's will get to meet Dan Moore up close and personal. Good luck to the App D on trying to find Peter Nguyen. I think the Griz's TM will be much like JJ last year and get better each game. Some running by TM will throw a wrench in App's D schemes. We may even see a bit of chicanery that puts App on their heals. Griz D will take the App freshman running back(s) on a Tripp, and open up a John Kanongata'a on App's JJ. Griz score first and often to keep the crowd in a coma.

Griz 31
Apposition 17
