Well we’ve been saying it on here all year. K-State has no business in the polls, let alone the playoffs. Monmouth just proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they’re head and shoulders better than K-State.

Thus endeth that ridiculous experiment.

What is really sad here is a very overrated KSU team will still be in the top 15 after this absolute beatdown. This is the only good team KSU has played and they have been completely exposed. Their schedule is such a joke from here on out they will go 9-2 and end up in playoffs still stealing a spot from a much better team. It’s ridiculous

The Big South is usually a 1 bid conference. Monmouth was 8-3 last year and still missed the playoffs. Maybe if they played Monmouth close I could see them getting an at large bid, but being blown out at home should hurt them. Especially since 2 of their wins are against non d1 opponents.

Those 2 wins aren't NCAA, period. They are NAIA.

Don't worry, Kennesaw will probably be ranked 5th after this.

Afraid you're right about the top-15 ranking, but -- as Hooked points out -- the Big South is almost always a one-bid conference. Right now, North Alabama is leading Campbell at the half ... so the result is far from decided. But if UNA were to knock off Campbell, Monmouth would end the weekend in sole possession of first place in the conference. With a big upset, Monmouth should at least make it into the top-25 ... giving them a good base for the rest of the way.
