MBBALL Money- POW

Who was the other Grizzly to score 30 points against a ranked opponent?

Was it my former math teacher Eric Hays against UCLA in 1975? Think he got 32 that night that they almost upset the Bruins in the tournament. Hays was later drafted by the Bucks

Edit: It was. UCLA had 7 players that played in the NBA, the best being Marques Johnson. We had one, Michael Ray Richardson. Ken McKenzie was also drafted in the 8th round by the Sonics, Hays went in 9th. Neither played a NBA game

Amazing how bad MRR's stat line was for that game too. If he had done anything normal for him it could have changed the outcome.

I still remember that game. I had to listen to it on the radio. I don’t think it was on TV, but I might be wrong. I was in Billings at the time.
Yes, it was on tv. I watched it. Post game, they talked with Eric Hays, as he was the real star of the game. His only comment was, “But we lost the game.”
