Mitch Saylor

Mitch is a good player, a lot of people on this board are so critical all the time. This kid might not put up the numbers but he's going to make a game winning play at some point. Mark my words.

NativeGriz is right on. Laud players but dont call the out personally. Ok for coaches where its legitimate, but the players didnt sign up for it in a forum like this.
no kidding. These kids work their butts off, and take this game serious. They don't need the crap.

RC called out Bo Tully as a waste of tax dollars and I think since then Bo has forced two turnovers and continued to play great. Now he calls out Saylor, so I expect Mitch to have 2 TDs against Poly and EWU. haha.

Calling out college kids on a message board is pretty dumb. What I like is that so far Tully has shown the OP is an idiot by continuing to play well and I hope Saylor responds in kind as well.

Interecepting a pass in the end zone is more than just "forcing a turnover". That's a back breaker for a team that hadn't moved the ball all day against us. It was as big a play as the fumble returns for TD's against us in the NAU game. Tully has improved tremendously...and continues to improve before our eyes this season.

Saylor is a good player. He is UM's only big wide receiver option. He's already make some nice plays this year. He's had good hands the whole time he's been in Missoula. The "drop" in the last game was not an easy catch. From one angle, it looked like the throw was a bit behind him. There were multiple drops by other receivers in the game.

Richard Cranium is probably a Bobcat just toying with us. He likes to bait us and lots of us take the bait. That makes him happy. Griz fans don't call out players like he does. They are just young guys learning about life. :?

Watching Mitch Saylor block is something special. We don't have a huge tight end this year. Our OCs have figured a way to have Saylor do some of the important blocking on plays to the outside. He packs a load for a wide out. Besides that he catches a couple of balls per game.

Big time, that pretty much summed up the day for Davis, they were showing some life on offense, got into the red zone, just to turn it over.

Tully has been the most impressive turnaround/improvement of any player I've seen this year, IMO, easy front-runner for more improved player which I think the team gives out as an award at the year end.

Or my educational effort regarding secondary play and proper evaluation of d-backs is finally starting to pay off with egriz posters. Ha-ha.

I love the the backing and support that has been displayed on this thread. I also just remembered, and thus wanted to state, how Mitch has accepted a lesser role within. the offense. As a bigger wide receiver, Mitch has been asked to change roles as the offensive philosophy changed with the new OC. He, I am assuming quite reluctantly, was turned into a blocking WR; he is now used primarily in heavy sets as an undersized H Back. At most schools Mitch would have transferred after spring football practice. But he is loyal to his friends! And he loves being a Griz footballer! And.... he is a junior. He will be a beast in that role next year. Many schools recruited him as a future TE out of high school. His future is bright. The present is what it is. Let us all continue to support sixth a wonderful selfless young man!

Everyone should watch Mitch this weekend...he will get the ball from JJ...count on it!

Did he even play? I can't remember seeing him on the field today....

He was out today, came out of the tunnel early and wasn't in pads.

Heard he might have a knee injury. Won't require surgery but it's more than a knock. Not 100% certain though.
