Missoulian today: Jack Manning sets the record straight

I haven't seen the Missoulian but I assume this will be on the front page. ;)

No, it was on the Opinion page: http://missoulian.com/opinion/columnists/no-basis-for-blaming-hauck/article_1b9547e0-65c4-57db-ba03-da1c349fac23.html

Nice well written article by Mr Manning. Also nice to see that the Missoulian is letting the pro-Griz side have exposure, for rebuttal.

Well I now hope this puts the entire episode to rest. Welcome back Miss GGNez!

Pretty sure this is about a dead subject anyway. Bobby is going to be here for 3+ years no matter what the naysayers think, say or do.

It is nice for the facts to get out as GG and PR have done admirably. It is unfortunate when avid Griz fans get represented by the likes of AlphaGriz. These 2 Egrizzers have done a great job of representing the vast majority of cool calm fair-minded Griz fanatics ;)

Good work by Jack. I really like how you stuck to the facts. Makes it very hard to dispute your argument.

Also agree with the premise of the YWCA article.

I really believe in Hauck and his ability to build and maintain a winning and respectful culture. Hopefully the community can rally around that and support the student athletes.

... great read  ...
...there's only one thing wrong with it...
...that it had to be done in the first place...

Here is a link to a commentary by Tucker Carlson that sets the record straight for me:

If you can overlook the politics of the commentator and news organization, it really gets to the heart of the matter about midway through a fairly long commentary. The whole sorry episode was, to me, the DNC shopping for a female victim voter bloc by whipping up hysteria over sexual assault. Could it be that the DNC sensed an opportunity, knowing that it's next candidate for president could very well be a female? It's probably just my age that I have become such a cynic, but I wouldn't put anything past those in the swamp.

The Obama justice department dangled Title XIV funds in front of University administrators to get them to go along with a kangaroo court system that would carry public opinion through mob hysteria opposed to sexual assault.

Carlson's commentary does not address the situation at UM, but it almost looked like a building on campus in some of the footage. Carlson did cite a case at the University of North Dakota where an accused male was expelled by way of a conviction by their kangaroo court, while at the same time the accuser was being prosecuted by the police for making false statements about the complaint.

It all goes back to who the behind the scenes ring leader that seems to fit nicely with this theory. As one of our former presidents said "a government that can do everything for you can do anything to you". Liberal politicians were happy to ride along on the back of a tiger, until the tiger started to get hungry.

Much of the history I studied while a student at the University centered around a common theme of innocent victims getting railroaded in our justice system, deprived of their right to due process at the hands of mob hysteria. I just finished the thread on Christmas irony so I am not sure now that this counts as irony, but an institution that would educate its students against such miscarriages of justice, would so willingly engage in that very thing.

Might well be time to consider changing the tinfoil on your hat, Tex.

Amazing how much horse shit a ten gallon, tin foil hat will hold. Tex could also use that as a solar array if he didn’t fully understand that all that clean energy stuff is just more dementia from those conspiring, liberal scientists who likeyouknow wanna ruin capitalism or capitalization or some really bad shit.

As for PR’s — aka Jock Sucker’s — rationale for Hauck, it’s amazing how he’s never seen a “fact” that had even the slightest negative connotation regarding every last Angel-in-Waiting in the Grizzly athletic program. Despite the now sickeningly contented harmony and universal concurrence of the bleating herd, I would maintain a reserve of skepticism on anything he has to say about anything … especially this.

FB, could you please point out anything that the Guest Column got wrong or omitted? Instead of trying to blow smoke without actually saying anything or providing any facts, let us know the specifics you have. Sorry, but your post seems to lack substance.
