I want to hear her response to you BW.BWahlberg said:Update: I also emailed Sherry Devlin my frustrations and I'm supposed to be getting a call from the reporter that wrote this article later today. Also I once again gave them Chris Coyle's contact info, even though they already had it.
Jerry Punch said:I hope what Williams said was not construed as politically motivated. Just because he sounds like the feminist anti-sports citizens you find in Missoula does not mean Democrats feel and think the way he does. I would wager that a strong number of Griz fans are also Democrats and won't stand behind Williams solely because he is a Democrat. It is ok to drop party rank when a party figure in a political position makes such unfair remarks about your team.
Williams probably has to go - but not because he is a Democrat. He'll likely be replaced by a Democrat, but one who is smart enough not to bash on a college football program.

The big difference between the two (outside of the message of course) is that the petition I support is not politically motivated by one party, but it's a blended group of people that are upset by his comments. The petition in support of him is significantly better organized to get signatures because it's flying through the state Democrat ranks and using their database and supporters to drum up attention.
Some ask, why not send "our" side to the Republican Party then? Well the reason why not is that this was never intended to be an anti-Democrat message. It's supporters agree with it's stance regardless of party affiliation.
