Missoula Bars showing APP ST game

What bars in Missoula are going to purchase the Griz vs App St game?? I'm assuming only a few will be purchasing due to the high cost for a bar to purchase PPV games/fights etc.. Any feedback would be awesome, I have been told that possible places to watch are BWW, Press Box, Elbow Room, Paradise Falls. I'm hoping either Elbow Room or BWW gets the game, I was told they have the best atmosphere for viewing games.

I could be wrong, but had always assumed almost every sports bar would have purchased Gameplan?

The game is being showed via ESPN Gameplan for 25 dollars... However that is what it would cost one of us to purchase. The cost for a bar to purchase is much greater, hundreds or even thousands depending on the size of the place etc... The reason I know this is because I have a family member who works at DirecTV. So I'm not sure many sports bars will be showing this game. Also, I was informed that ESPN gameplan is different than it used to be, most games they air you have to buy like a PPV purchase. Noone purchases GAMEPLAN anymore because they show most all games on national tv that fans want to watch. This game is available for purchase like last years game against Tennessee.. and not many bars purchased it.

My home watering hole was able to purchase the playoff game late last fall for a reasonable amount, they tried to buy Gameplan for the weekend and were told commercial establishments could only get it yearly, at a prohibitive price for them. Granted they aren't a so called sports bar.

In any case I reckon the Press Box, Red's, etc. will be packed tomorrow.

My home bar would have had to pay 700 bucks for the yearly package and given that their clients are not all sports fans they deemed it not worth the money. There really is a lot of football on free TV and I understand the reason they didn't pay it. Who (other than football junkies, guilty) would shell out the extra dough to watch Toledo/Ohio or Minnesota/Iowa State(I'm a Gopher fan as I listened to radio broadcasts when Carl Eller was a DE. i believe their provider is Optimum.

Given the rise of innumerable sports networks and conference networks I see more fragmenting and less free access down the road. Hope I'm wrong...

I know Curley's ordered the game. Kind of pricey for a bar to order these, but they figured they would have the playoff games as well, so they ordered it. Fun crowd for watching away games, and great food.

I called a few places earlier today and it was about 50/50 on who was showing the game. The Elbow Room was one of the places that was showing, I think that's where I will be heading... or Hooters :D
