Where they are still whining about getting jobbed by the refs and Clemson stealing signs in the 2018 title game. Check the rivals threads. Its chippy all over. Just don't read what you wish you hadn't read.
This is only partly true. Most fan boards that are free tend to be unmoderated cesspools where there is constant bickering and threads turn into shit shows relatively quickly. That said, fan boards that require a paid membership are a whole different story. They are heavily moderated and stay on topic and civil about 95% of the time, at least I'm my experience. Aditionally, they almost always come with some sort of insider element that breaks news regarding the team and recruiting, as well as providing quite a bit of written content daily in addition to the forum aspect of the sites. Its obviously a little different for the bigger schools as their recruiting is more nationally recognized in terms of the athletes they recruit, and the fanatic fan base that is willing to pay for such a thing is much larger. If something more along those lines existed with an insider element, that actually had a good following in terms of members I'd be all over it. But eGriz is, and likely always will be what it is today, a place where 90% of the posts are complaints, bitching, armchair quarterbacking, and bickering. Life was easier here during the years where we had great teams, but its gone down hill since then.
an alternative view would be that egriz has gone from being just a football site, to one where you can read a variety of opinions on subjects important to griz football followers, who are often montanans, plus discuss football when it is relevant. you can also discuss other issues when they are relevant, as long as the issues in some way shape or form affect griz football fans, who are spread far and wide on the globe. egriz is also a social media forum, where people from different walks of life interact with each other, in some cases for 20+ years and counting. nothing wrong with that.
