Mike Van Diest retires

Coach Van Diest announced his retirement from Carroll today. There has been a lot of back and forth about him over the years on this site. You cant get away from the fact that he won six national championships and did it in a manner that created unbelievable bonds with his players and coaches. He has a great defensive football mind. His person and persona are uplifting. His induction into the NAIA Hall of Fame this year is very deserving.
