Merry Grizmas To All

I just wanted to say how much this community means to me, especially during this time of year. When we all gather around the tree, to light the Menorah, or celebrate the season in your own way, it would behoove us to remember that we are all fans of the great sport or football. We are passionate, otherwise we wouldn’t be here complaining, trolling, brown nosing, sugar coating, or yelling that the sky is falling. We are collectively a community within the greater community of Griz Nation. Yes, that includes you silly cat trolls and serious cat contributors.

So to all I wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and a Happy Festivus for the Rest of Us. May the new year bring you all happiness, prosperity, and joy.

Yours,

PDXGrizzly

Shoot, I didn’t see oredigger’s thread. Mods, can you merge the Christmas threads?
Great idea.

Aside from that, we TOTALLY agree with your broadly-painted sentiments. We are currently gearing up for Christmas vittles ("stuffing" in the oven ... will let its flavors meld). We have a stock of Christmas movies we go through during the season ... ""The Bishop's Wife" (can't beat the Cary Grant, David Niven, etc. version IMO) scheduled for tomorrow. Turkey diner on the menu ... although we're often tempted by spiral-cut ham. Oddly enough – given its bad rap – we might go with our own home-cooked fruitcake for dessert. Ours is actually moist and flavorful.

We are watching a few (mostly) recorded bowl games. Understandable, but very sad, how many top players choose not to play

Amen!! Peace to all and a prayer or good thought to those serving over seas or away from home. Also those in Ukraine or other war torn parts of the world. As Americans we have so much to be thankful for. Pedestrian complaining about the football program we all love is something to give thanks for. That means we have so much less than others to worry about. Merry Christmas and Go Griz.

+1
Blessings to each and every one of you.
