Matt D has been ejected for an intentional foul. Criminey!

When you pull a guy down by his jersey from the peak of his jump and he lands on his back, I would assume you get ejected.

I wouldn't describe it quite that dramatically. I don't think Dlouhy had any intention of hurting the guy with what he did. I think he was just trying to make sure the guy didn't get a bunny and when Kinghorn left his feet Dlouhy's little tug on his jersey flipped him pretty good.

Kinghorn still had a foot on the floor when Dlouhy snagged his jersey, but give him credit - he sold it. If he hadn't laid on the floor and whined :crybaby: they never would have ejected Dlouhy. He couldn't have been hurt that bad, they chose him to shoot the technical foul shots. :werd:

I pretty sure he didn't shoot those free-throws.

My bad ... I thought that was a little hard to believe. :dope:

wow this is the first time I have seen the griz, not pretty is their record misleading??? It looks like they give up easy they are very flat footed in the second half.

I think we have to accept the fact that our chances of winning the regular season title are very slim right now. We are coming dangerously close to not getting an NIT bid with these two losses. Our boys better gear up and start a streak some we can go into the BSC tourney roaring, win that and we're dancing. We'll pull it together and take down the Cats on Saturday!

I certainly don't think I'm all that knowelgeable about basketball. But I posted this back on January 10th.

I'm glad you're excited about basketball. I don't see this group getting back to the big dance, they are barely beating the worst teams in the BSC at home. They'll certainly drop many Conference road games. But I hope I'm wrong and they just play down to the competition. A 12-2 team should be beating Weber by 25 at home. Just opinion from a guy that doesn't know basketball all that much.

Then Grizdominate replied.

Ronbo, you said it, you don't know basketball all that much.

I was hoping I was wrong. :crybaby:

Don't get me wrong what i mean by give up is little to no offense and they have been one shot and out almost every time down court. No ball movement at all!!!!!! This was a embarrassing showing for these kids.

Is it possible that LK is playing tooo many people find 7-8 give them the bulk of the minutes and let them get a rythm going.
I personally would make these kids run until I puked.

For those of you who watch all the games tell me what went wrong I want to beleive I just was very disappointed watching them today.

I am speechless. Getting blown out by IdahofukkingState? Unbelievable. I was pimping this team earlier in the year as a team that might make a legitimate run at and into the NCAA tourney. Hard to see that happening now.

I am going to go get drunk.

I was thinking exactly the same things DK1. And I just posted in another thread that not only is the opportunity for the regular season title gone, but the Griz are now in danger of falling to 3rd or 4th in the conference, which means playing an extra game in the tourny. They;re going to have to find some heart the next few weeks.

Griz being outscored in the second half 54 to 17, shooting 20% for the half. ISU shooting over 20% better than the griz for the game. Ouch.

I hope everyone who is posting was able to watch the game on TV. if so you would see that the Griz had no chance to win this game, it was predetermined in the refs locker room at 1/2 time. Could someone tell me why it was o.k. to tackle Matt Martin when he was going to the hoop or shooting, and the call is offensive foul or traveling?

I wonder if this game (especially combined with the officiating Thursday @ WSU) will be a turning point in Krysko coming back next year. Why would he come back to a league where the refs will take a game away from you, seriously damaging your career prospects, when he can go to be an assistant in the NBA next year.

Honestly after tonights national television refereeing debacle I can only see 2 ways Krysko comes back next year 1) Fullerton comes out and makes a statement about the refs, and vows to make changes (which won't happen) or Montana announces they will investigate a move to the WAC.

This national embarrassment shows that the Big Sky has become the Big Joke conference.

ahem.... having just witnessed the 'game' from the stands... all i can say is.... ahem. now i understand why the isu football team feels as it does towards the isu hoops team. maybe the cameras didn't show just why klingon got fouled the way he did by doulhy? it was because he (klingon) took a major (connecting) shot with his elbow at criswell. in fact, that seemed to be isu's main strategy - taking cheapshots at criswell. every time down the floor. and don't get me started on 'slim million'... every shot he takes, every time down the floor, every move he makes... involvdx a cheap shot... this game, of course, it was at a griz player. unreal. the reason the isu coach took him out when he did was probably to save his life. that guy is an embarassment to college basketball. i'm serious, every time down the court he cheap-shotted someone. twice oliver took him out just when it looked like some griz or other had had enough of his crap.

not that it means anything, but a couple of isu's more rabid boosters actually agreed with me on the cheap-shot thing after the game. wow. i went in to the gym not knowing who to cheer for, and left in in awe at isu's antics. they got in the way of what could've been a really nice game for them.

and on a final note, i've gotta agree with ci-tay, there appears to be no obvious reason hasquet is out there playing. nor an obvious reason why chavez isn't out there playing. he's clearly more athletic than 95% of the hoopsters in the bsc.

According to Mick it was caught on tape, and might be the only reason for Dloughy not to receive a suspension after his ejection.

My 2nd favorite ref moment was when Criswell drove, shot, was hacked, the defender fell on top of him, an the ref took the time to pull the defender off the top of Criswell, but didn't see enough to whistle a foul.

My #1 was a tie - a) Martin driving for a shot, out of control ISU defender collides and knocks him flying, and the call is traveling, and b) Martin fakes a drive, steps back and shoots, gets called for offensive foul.

Well it was good for us Bengals to finally put together a great half of basketball. Too bad the game was a little out of control at times. I must disagree with the assessment that the refs cost the griz the game. You're not going to win many games when you shoot 19% in the second half (including 0-9 from 3). So how about a little credit for our little spud squad? Anyway, good luck the rest of the season. Hopefully we make the conference tournament and have a chance to play the griz again.

My god...Griz fans. When you lose...the refs...the fans...the arena...the city...the thugs. It really is pathetic.

Dloughy did not deserve to be ejected...nor did Kinghorn. ISU was not getting away with murder...they just got hot...and the Griz paid for it with a blowout loss. It can happen to anyone in this conference. The game was physical...and charged with emotion...Dloughy wasn't getting even...he only had a lapse in judgement. Kinghorn may have thrown an elbow...but likewise Millien was tackled. This is a product of fierce competition...and humans sometimes have a lapse in judgement.

Total fouls for the game...Montana 27...ISU 24. Freethrows...ISU
28-32...the Griz 26-32.

All this crap coming from fans that drilled ISU players and coaches with potatoes. :wtf:

Bengal fans respect your team...and they respect the Montana program...too bad SOME of you are too ignorant to offer up any valid points.
