Mellott > Dickenson

This is just plain stupid. For QB's in both programs history, Super Dave is on a whole level above anyone else. Tommy has some playing to do before we can even put him on the list with the Brian Ah Yat, Travis Lulay, Jordan Johnson, and Denarius McGhee. Let's see how he does over the next couple of years before proclaiming anything. He is off to a hell of a start, but that's about it.

Most impressive thing about the Cat Kid is he is not afraid ( or his coaches are not afraid) to let the ball fly and has connected on some deep passes. A couple I have seen I thought would be picked off yet his WR came down with it. Couple the deep passes and his running ability makes him a stud.

God I hate to do this. Jump back on this horrible thread of comparison. Dave Dickerson is the best football player I have ever watched at the FCS level. Period. Just uncanny. His footwork was beyond remarkable. He evaded sacks like it was his job. I was in awe watching him at Bobcat stadium in 95. I’m a Bobcat and still embarrassed by this thread. Tommy Mellott has taken the Cats to the promised land. That’s sooooo impressive. But for anyone to say, after three games as a starter, he’s better than a College Hall of Famer is embarrassing for me as a Cat fan. I apologize for WCF. He obviously never saw DD play. As far as I’m concerned, he (DD) is still the standard bearer for all BSC qbs. Love Dave Dickenson. I hope Mellott can be half as good, if so, the Cats future is beyond bright and UM will have their hands full the next three Novembers.

Is this for real?! I'm an MSU alum, Cat fan from Great Falls. Early returns on Mellot are extremely encouraging, but he IS NOT Dave Dickenson.

Let's get a dub on JAN 8 and win 30 more games and then we can talk. Sheesh.
