Tough loss. BYU went on a 6-0 run to close the game and the LG went cold. I didn’t like the way Nate Harris managed the end of the game. Probably should’ve used a timeout there and shouldn’t have had them hold for the final shot. I hate when coaches do that when they’re down in the game. They gotta attack the rim more in a situation like that. I know this offense is designed to shoot lots of 3s, but all you need is a bucket to take the lead, and BYU fouled them a lot.
This is such a tough non-conference schedule. This reminds of the early years where DeCuire did the same thing, and then so many times they’d have a bad record and shattered confidence going into conference play. Would’ve been huge for them to pull this one out and boost their confidence. Hopefully they learn from it though.

I blame myself. Turned the game back on with LG up 3 near the end and they never scored again. Sorry everybody.
If Land was able to get just one of her 4 good looks in the last few minutes to go, the LG win that.

Great game but we still lost on our court--no moral victories.
I do believe the LG W-L will improve from here going forward, and I am still encouraged--this is only Nate's first year as our HC. Recruiting going forward will be obviously crucial as this is our first game in the last 4 where we were competitive !!!

Land looks to be developing her 3-shot very well. I watched her first game, her shots were hurried, off the mark, just bad. We've got the shooters this year!
