Montana Tech released fall enrollment numbers today. The university continues to report strong enrollment growth with the largest headcount in history.

Carefull there doc, I have a close friend that transferred from engineering at Carroll to MSU and he couldn't believe how much easier the classes were at State. Could this be turning into a rubber stamp engineering degree factory in Bozo?

Montana Tech of the University of Montana ranks in the top 25 of all Universities in the nation in terms of starting salaries for graduates. MSU does not rank.

Using "Payscale," the main UM campus does indeed rank relatively low, due to all those art, drama/dance and radio/tv majors, but both Tech and Carroll outpace MSU significantly, the worst in the state is that MSU branch campus in Billings.

I should point out, according to that data I was wrong. UM-Tech graduates do not exceed MSU graduates in starting salaries by 20%. The data actually shows that starting salaries are 30% higher for Tech grads than for MSU grads.

Both MSU and UM are distinguished on that analysis for "sports," although they did not make clear what those might have been at MSU.

Hatred, vitriol, dislike, repugnance, respect, praise, admiration, envy, jealousy, curiosity,, rivalry Nope, none of that going on. Just pity now. Pure pity. I feel sorry for their kids, the parents and fans. They deserve better and so does Montana. I constantly hear how great Cruzado is. Really. Their football and basketball programs have been dumpster fires. Fields has scheduled patsy games for the football team to prop up Rash's win/loss record. There is no reason Bozo should not be competing at a higher level each and every year. Cruzado owns the sports programs right along with the increased enrollment. Firing Ash is not going to solve the problem. MSU deserves better and so do the taxpayers. I enjoy a good rivalry. There certainly isn't one currently.

You might have a couple points in there, but Cruzado is about the academic excellence first and foremost. I agree, we need to strengthen the program, but we don't have a billionaire willing to throw a few bucks towards massive improvements. Remember, you were dormblazer not to long ago and probably still would be without Denny. Good for you, and good for the state. MSU facilities are pretty impressive when measured against most of FCS outside of Missoula. If i were a fresh recruit, I would be hard pressed to NOT sign with the Griz, can't blame any kid for that.
