Meanwhile over in kittenville

Wandered over to BN and it looks like Choate had an emergency surgery, which would be the reason why the presser was cancelled/possibly rescheduled for later this week.

We need to play more home games against teams who don’t award athletic scholarships.

You need to score more than 20 points per game and have more than 216 yards of TO (12th in conference).

You need to give up less than 34 points per game.

You need to pass for more than 115 yards, and rush for 93, yards per game.

You need better than 91% passing efficiency.

You need more than 9 first downs per game. Worst in conference.

You need more than 23 min of TOP. Worst in conference.

You need to have a positive, not negative, TO ratio.

wouldnt it be easier just to play against teams who don’t offer football scholarships?

Hope he's ok, I think they need coaching more than ever right now.

How much does it cost for a coach to buy out of press conference? The boosters might have to step up their donations! Champ can stand near the exit with a giant blue Bobcat cup while tolling a bell to see if he can get the grief stricken fans to pony up. Perhaps they can even announce at half-tome that all donations might be tax free and may be matched by with Federal disaster funds.

  Brilliant!!

Apparently the cost is 1 emergency appendectomy. Hard to have a press conference from a hospital room
Bobby would have postponed the surgery until after the season. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

The announcer said TA is left handed. Is that correct? They showed the club on his left hand, and it looked more serious to me than my goofy neighbor led on.

If the break happened before the WIU game, why didn’t they do something about it then? Poor dude. Cats are going to ruin his entire career. Hopefully all Dillon recruits are paying attention.

I honestly believe hiring Bob Stitt was the worst thing that could have happen to the Cat Program

No, because the Pioneer league is a pretty good conference, Butler beat Youngstown St this year, and the Pioneer team knocked off NAU and CP in the playoffs the past 2 years. And, conferences like the Pioneer provide very good financial aid packages and academic scholarships to their students, including football players. The Pioneer is non-athletic scholarship, but hardly non-scholarship.

Like I said, Drake would have beaten the Cats on Saturday, given how poorly the Cats played. 216 yards of TO in the first 2 games?

PR, he's a cat fan, you're going to have to explain to him what the playoffs are.

How did Drake do last year against the South Dakota schools? I assume they gave them close games?

Wagner College which competes in the Northeast Conference of the Football Championship Subdivision which is allowed to offer 40 scholarships. I can't find how many they offer and what the makeup is between athletic and academic scholarships.

Ohhh maaaan. See, now I want to break my vow and visit the site. 8-)

let's just say I used to come over here for the entertainment. asinine posts, presumed adults acting like babies, threats of fights, know-it-alls, coach-bashing, player-bashing, etc....

now I don't have to come over here for that....

Meh, had an emergency appendectomy for a burst appendix. Weren't no big deal... (but seriously it was. Got a post surgical infection and had a golf-ball-sized abscess removed a couple of weeks later. Wore a drain tube and a gauze patch taped to my side for 2 months. Hope coach is OK!)
