I’ve stayed off this board lately now that the season has started and there’s actually some stuff to follow and discuss so I haven’t come here for entertainment nearly as much. I had to check it out though to see what’s going on and it didn’t disappoint.

Last weekend was ugly and there are certainly questions at hand, not going to hash that out again as it’s obviously been well documented.
I’ve also watched both griz games, they’re 2-0 but have not looked like world beaters themselves. Drake gave them all they could handle for the better part of 3 qtrs until they blew it open. I give credit where credit is due, they’re 2-0, but they have serious questions too.

But a 6 page and growing thread about the Cats, again?!
For always leaning on the “little brother” moniker, you guys sure do talk about the Cats a lot. Threads about the Cats are almost always in the top handful of threads on the board at any given time. And it’s one of the mods starting them often...

and yet here you are, posting on our board. quietly lurking and reading what we have to say about you

Not really quietly lurking, since I’m posting something, but close enough...

oh we all know you've been quietly lurking

100%
Most of them can't stay away for over a week.

Do not laugh, you SOB! This here is a football thread, not anchorLADY, and that is a scientific fact. If I've learned one thing, it's that fans of one school cannot make fun of fans of another school because:
(a) it hurts feelings; and
(b) if the first school loses a particular game in the future, the fun makers might suffer extreme personal embarrassment associated with being incorrect about a football game.

Also, no fun. If you try to have fun, prepare to hear the rumble of orthotic Velcro shoes chasing you right on outta here.

Now, back to Xs and Os on this football thread upon which everyone was forced to click. Go.

A bit like your would-be QB1 during the last academic term? Oh!!!!!!!

Sounds like Troy is #1 until he isn't. Kind of surprised about that.

Maybe their backups aren't up to the task. If a one armed QB is your best shot, your season outlook can't be that bright.

Laughed my ass off at that phrase also!

I watched the replay of the Cat’s game on SWX. I think the pressure is getting to Choate. His halftime speech before taking the field was pathetic. Blame your woes on missing one player and throw the rest of the team under the bus. Put the blame on your shoulders coach and get your team motivated for the second half. No wonder this guy only wins two games a year. I would be deflated if I was a player and heard those comments.

To be fair, Choate wasn't exactly feeling all that great during the game and because he had an emergency surgery the following morning, I can understand why his halftime speech wasn't all that great. I'll give him a pass for that one, but I expect him to be back to the normal cat-loving coach we love to hate.

I suppose most people wouldn't be very sky-beatie with a bum appendix.

Key word, most. Bobby Hauck would have been fine though. :thumb:

 We beat Sky. We own State. Ouch. I go now.

Bobby Hauck would have done a double back-flip before his inspiring halftime speech, coached the Griz to a forty-point win, and then sprinted to the hospital for his post-game surgery.

Hospital? For an appendix? Please. He would have used a rusty razor knife and taken it out himself. Had a few drinks on the plane while he watched film for next weeks game. Choate has gone soft.
