Meanwhile at Cat Camp.....

Sounds like the offense will be great again (we already knew that) but the hopes all Cat fans had for a huge change in defense are off to a very rocky start. Gotta have a defense to win games and through two scrimmages so far they are struggling again in that category.

What is funny to me is this.....there are a number of Cat fans on this site saying that there is no way our new offense will be worth a crap this year due to it being a new system, with new players, and new coaches. Well it's these same fans who expect a great new defense with....you guessed it....a new system, new players, and new coaches. Perhaps they should worry about their own on this stuff.....

Good grief. I thought the idea with Colter going to this whole Skyline thing is that he was going to cover all of the bsc, and perhaps be a little more objective with his writing about that cats. I'm pretty certain he had to clean himself up after about the 2nd paragraph of that drivel.

Who even knows what the idea was. It's likely just his little blog thing. I didn't read the article, but let me guess: It is way too long, many sentences are poorly-worded, and it is really heavy on quotes.

Jumped on here to read about the cats and then I remembered.....I don't give a flying f*ck about them.

I'm not really sure why people thought the cats would have a much improved defense this year. They brought in a whole bunch of transfers to suddenly create a good defense? That's not really how it works. Seems most of their talent is on the offensive side of the ball, and thus they will be a good offensive team.

However, they pretty much lack studs across their whole defense. Very weak at cb, safety, and d-line. Their linebackers have talent, but are average and unproven. imo, the only player on the cats starting defense that would crack the Griz starting D is Sheridan. Any cat fans think there are others? I'd be curious to know who.

With their soft schedule, I'd expect them to have a really good record, but ripe for a beatdown when they face a dominate defense. Looks like all their qb's had great success against their D, their 5th stringer being the exception, but hell, he struggled against high schoolers in the last couple Montana all star games. On the bright side, Fort Lewis should make their D look like world beaters.

What is this "cat camp" stuff? Like state college, it can't really be a thing? Just what we need, more internet crap about cats.
