McNeese (McDowell) vs Tarlteon State Game Thread

What is up with McNeese running back Barbie's black bag on his back. He look like he was horse collared at least once. What the heck is it doing there?

I actually watched the replay of the game on YouTube. Despite the offense turning the ball over at least 5 times, they had a chance to win. I think McDowell threw 1 interception and fumbled once or twice and the RB Barbie fumbled twice also.
I think McDowell played pretty good for the first game of the season but it was obvious that whoever is running their offense isn't putting the players in good positions to succeed. Tarlteon ran a lot of zone coverage and the OC for McNeese was calling plays to beat man coverage. The only designed QB runs for McDowell were QB draws straight up the middle.
But I also noticed McDowell still takes too long to make decisions on reads. He has time to throw but as he progressed through reads, instead of taking off and running when nobody was open, he stayed in the pocket too long. I think it was just clearing out the cobwebs in a first game.
The QB for the other team who was supposed to be pretty good as well left during the 2nd quarter because he broke his finger or sprained it on his throwing hand which made a huge difference with him out for the rest of the game.

Seems I heard the same things about McDowell last year. I only watched a few plays of his game, preferring to watch the scats suffer, so I can't confirm or deny anything that is said about his performance.

This is the last thing I'll say about McDowell and I will never mention his name on here again because I'm looking forward to cheering on whoever our starting QB is, whether is be Huot, Fife or Ah Yat. And I'm actually glad McDowell isn't our QB anymore.
After witnessing some things on both social media and other platforms, I think this kid is selfish and only thinks about himself. He's not a team first kind of player. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe it's this new generation of players, but I've never seen a player make up excuses after losing a game and posting it on social media 5 months after the game. If I didn't get hurt on this play then blah blah blah. Seriously who the F says crap like that? Then his team lost on Saturday and he's tweeting his food plays in the game.
I'm like brother you guys lost, you shouldn't be posting anything. It's the mentality of my team lost, but I did good. When your team loses that means you didn't do enough.
Anyways I wish him well in his future, but I'm glad he's not our QB anymore. Go GRIZ!!!

I hope Big Cliff tears it up this season. Once a Griz, always a Griz. Having said that, I'm looking forward to seeing who steps up and takes over as qb this season.

Go Griz!

Nice win Texans! That's obligatory. My wife graduated from there. I would love to see the Griz:
1) play them in the playoffs, and.
2) Watch with extreme satisfaction as the Griz players symbolically drink from the skulls of their foe.

My wife has been talking trash forever. McDowell didn't help things in my house.
