You have got to be kidding me! Where did you hear this from? The Griz have got to offer him at least a scholarship for after his redshirt year. With all the athleticism UW has, I think it would be a bad idea for Jack to go there. But hey who knows maybe he'll transfer back after riding the pine a couple years. But, wow did not see that one coming. Best of luck to him.

What's he gonna do, beat out Martell Webster at the guard position. I know its enticing, but it will not work out if McGillis does that. I hope he goes to the Griz, but if he doesn't........he at least has to be realistic and not waste his time.
 
Don't be suprised to see Jack still become a Griz. Romar only offered McGillis a Walk-on position with the chance to earn a schollie later on. With some extra unanticiapted schollies currently being freed up, don't be suprised to see the Griz offer him something.

Romar is building a powerhouse in Seattle. If a player is good enough to play there, the Griz probably don't have a shot at them.

If the Griz offer him a scholarship, and the chances are 80%, by my guess, is that Jack would be a Griz. The only 20% is how frustrated Jack feels about how the Griz have been recruting him.
 
Mslacat-My impression is that the Griz have already offered him a schollie for FB, but not for BB right??? Is Griz BB among the new schollie coming today? If not, who are these new offers???

From what I am hearing as of this hour:

Griz
Football-yes
Basketball - not until his Sophmore year.

Cats
No offers.

1 or possibly 2 "new colleges" will be offering in the next few days

I do not think the Griz are out of the picture. I would not be surprised if Kysco does offer McGillis 1. He is getting heat from boosters 2. All of the JC points that I hear he is after are signing with other people.
 
The McGillis family is loaded, so maybe a scholarship won't be that important rather than being "a feeling of acceptance" thing.

I'm not saying that at all or even as anything negative. I've met some of the McGillis family and they are very good people.

What I'm saying is that financially, Jack dosen't really need a scholarship to pay for school, which means that maybe getting a scholarship offer isn't as big a factor for him in making a decision. I wouldn't be surprised if Jack decides to go to UW, even if the Griz offer him, for that reason.
