But hey we could have lost by 10 instead of 20...Do I think McD got dinged...yes, do I think it hampered his play some...yes, do I think it changed the outcome of the game...no.

I didn't think you were argumentative, just pointing out facts....there's a lot of factors here and it's easy for us to judge but we don't know all the facts. That's just reality.
And yet...we still know very little about them at this point...My post was simply in response to whether it was better to play the (possibly injured) senior starter or the true freshman. Doesn't seem like much of a choice to me. Would we have been in better shape in the QB room if McDowell had stayed? Probably. But he didn't. So we now have a redshirt freshman with a ton of potential and no real experience as well as a transfer with quite a bit of experience and another guy pushing them both. Sorry but I just don't think the sky is falling.
Guess I need to type slower for oldngrizzly.Which was how almost all of us read it.
I agree that we the fans don't know much about the QB situation. I guess I just have more faith in the coaching staff than others. And yet...we still know very little about them at this point...
Never said the sky was falling. Along with DL - the biggest question mark on the team in my mind.
Do you not think the coaches noticed him using the bike for the first time all season?I think there was some bad communication between players and coaches. Players who 'tuff it out' playing at some fraction of their norm, are not giving good input to the various coaches, who assume 100% able. Calls based on that are doomed to failure. The opportunity to avoid that failure is lost.
If he was hurt, he has a duty to let the coaches know so they can make adjustments to the game plan. Not letting them know is ego driven cockiness, which came back to bite the Griz. Just my pedestrian point of view.
And all a long I though you and Alabama were coming around to my idea.HHB was also being very, very, very sarcastic.
I did not watch or listen to the game...Do you not think the coaches noticed him using the bike for the first time all season?
For real?!I did not watch or listen to the game...
It’s funny how when he’s on our team we love his “swagger” but when the same player goes someplace else, “I didn’t like his ego”.Personally, I never felt like he displayed much ego at all. At least, no more than most athletes at his position.
seems like an acceptable viewpoint, in the brand new world of game results and replay being online instantly after the game, but it does remove a certain aspect of the choice to watch the next minute's news unfold. uncertainty. that for which only the brave will endure (and other bs)Sorry, 'bama, just too many 'thrill of victory, and agony of defeat' moments as a Griz fan. The '95 NC was the thrill, and '96 Randy Moss loss was the agony for me. And, I was at work both games. Reality set in about that time.
At any rate, my lyin' eyes can deceive me when it comes to the SDSU game. Can't criticize what I haven't seen, right?

so there you go...
Bro, you are killing me. You didn't watch the national title?!Sorry to disappoint you mom, but I stepped on my maroon colored glasses long ago. I did, however, put some fresh batteries in an old TI Calculator I have and crunched some numbers, and concluded there was no way in hell Da Griz could win. So, I saved myself from 3-4 hr of anger and frustration. Besides, there was always reruns if I was wrong. Don't remember what the hell I did during that time, though...
For real, Elrod.
I guess I can't hold it against you long term. I will only let it cloud my judgement for a few years or so. Probably not past 2030.I did not. Figured that would be a little less scar tissue in the brain. At this point in life, I hang on to what I can. I'm no Stephen Hawking. Closer to Joe Biden.
That should cover the age spread.I guess I can't hold it against you long term. I will only let it cloud my judgement for a few years or so. Probably not past 2030.
