Dude, completely off topic, but this reminded me of how MSU hired that AD whose family looked like they were waiting for a tornado to take them anywhere during the press conference in the MSU garage/media room. But in all seriousness, it doesn’t take that long to draft a memorandum of understanding. I think if we don’t have an announcement or a press conference scheduled by the end of the day, then it won’t be Hauck. I have a hard time believing the top candidate flys out here, flys back home, and then days later is announced as HC. Just doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Maybe some of you should wait for Hauck and UM to finish the interviews and discussions, which were today, and for UM to finish its analysis and due diligence. And then for UM, Hauck and his agents, and perhaps some lawyers to work out an agreement. Just a thought.

The contract will have to be reviewed and approved by University legal counsel. There are laws and Regent policy that govern what UM can agree to.
