My only concern is that it looks too damned close to Bobcat blue... :evil:

I hear ya on that front. Back in the 80's I used to be a Michigan fan (for 1A). But then I became a a big Griz fan in the late 80's, so I got rid of all my blue and gold Michigan shirts because they reminded me of the boobcats too much. In fact my sister bought me a blue and gold M (Michigan) coat even a couple years ago for xmas (she is out of touch, and must have gotten it on sale or something). Great coat, but I couldn't stand/bear to wear it, or be seen in blue and gold. So off to Goodwill it went. :lol:

I was going to rock mine for casual Friday a few weeks ago, but it had a shit ton of Turtlewax on it.

True, no bullshit story: I was at the grocery store in Seal Beach about a month ago, and a dude in a UNLV jersey and hat (after the season had ended) approached me in the parking lot. He noticed my Griz hitch cover and license plate frame and wanted to talk some Hauck. He was super aggressive, saying he thought Hauck was "the worst college football coach ever" like it was my fault. I noted that he had a great record at UM, and was generally respected as a great coach. He responded that Hauck came into UNLV with great fanfare and everyone hated him by year 3. He said everyone thought Hauck lucked into some talent at UM and couldn't get the job done with his own guys. I said that he coached at UM for long enough and had success with his own guys, but the dude wasn't having any of it. In the end, I just agreed with him so I could go buy some beer without a big discussion. It really opened my eyes as to the perception of coaches at our level. Keep in mind, this was from a UNLV fan whose team some of Hauck's UM teams probably could've shit stomped.

Hope Stitt does well. Hope he does better than Hauck. Think he'll be successful at UM. But his "brand" and self promotion is weak. I don't get it.

You do realize that at least 50% of the posters here would have to hop an indirect flight to "go check," right? And I'm not about to do the whole "stopping in Phoenix" bullshit for a T-shirt. Just sayin'.

Yeah I can understand that.


That said, in my mind, a little self promotion that gets some national attention is still better than national attention from shutting out the student newspaper.

I checked out the T-Shirt at UM Bookstore this morning with all thoughts of buying myself one and a couple more for friends. I was sadly disappointed. The design sucks. I won't be buying any until they get a better design.

It is just the same design as the old ones from his website. I just looked at them too since I had to go to the bookstore for other things, and was pleasantly surprised that they aren't charging outrageous amounts for them.
