Mark another one (more like 2) for Choate

Leave it to the fans of a program whose head coach is named Bob'sTitt to make fun of other coaches names  classic bush league :thumb:

When a Choache rocks a full-on 70s porn mouth vag in his intro press conference, and every day thereafter, I think "bush league" is on the table. That said, Choughte looks super tough with it. Add some frosted tips, and he'd be in the running for a cooking show and a TGI Friday's ad or two.

CDA, was wondering if you liked Mexican food? If so I have a great Choateichangas recipe you might enjoy sometime. It is very light on the palate, semi reminiscent of a bobcat playoff run.

There are still a couple of big bobkitty questions I sure hope Cotler Nuness gets to the bottom of......

How Much is Jessie Ckoakie paying the Gallatin County Sheriff to keeps his bad boys names off the Jail Roster after they've been booked into Jail.

What is the bobcat beats best guess on who the bail bondsman is and what's his relationship to frontier coaches??

It is actually very interesting that Lasane was arrested twice in a 6 week span and did not end up on a jail roster in any way, shape, or form. Someone has some splaining to do.

Just found this out yesterday - the new software used by the Gallatin Valley Detention Center no longer tracks booking and releasing like it used to. Instead, it just lists those who are currently in jail. This change is as recent at June. Therefore, LaSane was bailed out right away after both arrests, meaning unless you searched the jail roster in the wee morning hours on those specific dates, you missed it, which everyone in the media did, including myself.

The Missoula jail roster however keeps names and records on it for a full week after each arrest.

Typical Bozeman; can't even run a proper jail roster.

Hey Jon. Yeah, I like a good #2 combo from time to time. I'll give them a try if you shoot me the recipe. Anyway, what do you think about your program's latest transgression that you guys apparently tried to cover up by paying to have the jail roster policy changed? What else are you hiding?

I truly feel bad for Coach Chote and can totally understand him cutting a few corners here and there. Coach Chunt is under tremendous pressure right now chasing legendary cat coaches like Cliff Hysell and Earle Solomonson in attempting to capture the elusive third Big Sky win in only his second season.

Solid!

If Chatche gets to three conference wins in only two seasons, I think it's statue time.

If you ask me, it's pretty special that Harvard erected that statue of those young men carrying Franklin Delano Roosevelt like that. Our boys never would have carried a crippled Royce Engstrom across the gridiron!

"Frank" tried out for freshman football at Harvard, but was cut. A huge percentage of his class went out for frosh football.

Wow, this thread got stupid. Typical EGriz.

Every Griz player I've ever seen serve a suspension was the NEXT game or games following the infraction. Because that's how it's SUPPOSED TO BE.

You are absolutely right, as of late. However, there have been past instances under previous coaches where the cupcake game was 3/4's of the way through the season and that is the one the player sat for after he got in trouble before the season started. I don't remember the player or the team the griz played. I want to say a little Oregon school.

I realize that I can't argue that point if I choose to say that Lasane was an Ash recruit, so I hope you realize I'm not arguing about something that a previous coach did when Stitt is your current head coach. I'm just pointing out that not every griz player has served a suspension the very next game in the last decade. Under Stitt, yes, its been the next game.

I have never seen a Griz coach, from Don Read to Stitt intentionally skip games and then enforce suspensions. And I follow it pretty damn closely. If you can provide an exact example, with the participants report, then I guess I'll be wrong, but again, I've never seen it. Now, I won't argue that, past Griz coaches have been a little too lax in punishment, and Cat fans were always all over it, sure, I can think a of a few. I'm pretty sure that's happened in the past at UM, MSU and every other college football program in American. All is different now in Missoula and Bozeman with the Code of Conduct however. But intentionally letting players play in games immediately following an announcement of a suspension, and then sitting them later, nah, I can't recall one. But again, if you can provide proof, I'll be happy to say I was wrong.
I'll try to figure out who it was in thinking of. I'll think on it today.

What happened when young Montana got his DUI? Suspension? I know he left the team eventually.

I seem to remember one situation in the Hauck years where he sat a couple of players for a non conference game in the middle of the season rather than the next game on the schedule. But that was discipline assigned because of violation of internal team rules (missing class, I believe), not criminal charges. But I do seem to recall bcn blowing up about that issue

I don't recall any Griz coach choosing to enforce game suspensions out of sequence so player(s) could sit out an easier game, and certainly not for anything related to criminal charges.

I also don't recall punishment that, for the circumstances, was too light. Curious as to what people are thinking of in that regard.

The Kemp/Johnson suspension looked odd, being only 1 quarter, and in retrospect probably should have been handled in a different matter, but there were reasons for that one. The athletic department knew that the police had been mostly at fault, had overreacted significantly, and some had made racial or semi-racial comments directed at the players. Scores of witnesses had so informed the athletic department, and some of the cell phone audio backed that up. The athletic dept knew that the charges were going to go away or go way down, as they did (solo plea and tiny fine for disorderly conduct, i.e. a loud party). The athletic dept also knew that two police spokesmen, in the first two days, grossly overblew and mischaracterized the incident. The athletic dept and school also didn't want to go with punishment that would effectively endorse police behavior that could be characterized as racially biased. The athletic dept and school wanted to provide some "support" to the players in this one. From what I could tell, the police had no cause to arrest or tase either of the players. This was an unusual and unique incident. Recall that the players, or Kemp, considered bringing an action against the police for a so-called section 1983 violation of civil rights.
