Mariners get Bedard

Bedard to the DL with "hip inflamation". Rumors abound that he's got a tear in the rotator cuff in his left hip and may need surgery.

I didn't even know there was a rotator cuff in the hip joint but I guess it makes sense.

Regardless, blog hero R.A. Dickey brings his knuckle balls to Safeco to pitch in Bedard's slot Friday night. If Bedard is out for an extended time, it'll be between Dickey, Baek and Bender who fills in.

I really want to give R.A. Dickey the nickname "Boner" but am afraid I'll get kicked off MarinerCentral if I do.
