As of 2 min into the Q4, Marc leads in total receiving yards for "Da Bears" (not by a lot) and has that TD. What is interesting is that they don't seem to be using him to return KO or punts. I take this as a big plus -- they know what he can to as a return guy. Maybe they're getting smart and checking how versatile he can be to both return kicks and be another receiver.

I saw part of Chicago's last game vs. Cincinnati. The Bears didn't look particularly good, but Mariani had the best catch I saw while I was watching. He got really popped by a defender as he was catching the ball, and it came loose. But he managed to grab it as he was falling to the ground. The analysts complimented him on a great catch.

Man, that TD brought back so many Mariani memories as a GRIZ. A simple out pattern, 1 block, and he WHAM, he's off to pay dirt!!!!!! Imagine his numbers in a Stitt offense. The GRIZ are blessed with 2 NFL caliber WR's with Jones and Henderson. I expect both to get drafted, providing they stay healthy. :thumb:

My Mariani memories are when we actually used the punt return as an offensive weapon, instead of running away from the punt so as not to fumble. :roll:
