Mandy Morales?

Is there something wrong with Mandy tonight? She has only 6 pts midway into the second half and I don't see her name showing up in the on line play by play.

Tamara Guardipee has 18 points.

She has been getting doubled every time she touces it and has only taken two shots. She is running the team and setting up her teammates. That is the beauty of that team, you try and take her away and the rest of them make you pay. LG up 26 early in the second half. 4 LG is double figures, Morales will make it 5. Guardipee having a big game, double double already. Impressive since EWU goes 6' 2" and 6" 5" inside.
 
I see Mandy's starting to put some points in now. Earlier her name wasn't showing up at all in the live stats.

I wonder if Tom Webb is still an assistant with EWU. He's a good coach and had a lot of success in JC at Northwest CC. I haven't talked to him since he left Northwest and I wonder if he has regretted his decision to move up. I know his intent is to be a Div 1 head coach but I'm not sure he made a good choice to go to EWU.

Mandy left the game with the rest of the starters with about 10 minutes left. She only took 3 shots, but made 11-12 free throws for her points. % players in double figues, LG had no problem with EWU. Here is a link on your buddy.

Webb coached my daughter at NWCC for one year and he kept in contact with her for a couple years after he left.
 
Lady Griz get 46 points from the bench to blow out EWU 92-55. Morales doesn't make a FG and the LG still dominate. Double teaming Mandy was an excercise in futility for EWU.
 
That's an impressive win. Mandy will have an occasional off night; it's good to know that the team has plenty of other strengths.
 
Mandy left early in the second half due to a slight sprain in the ankle. Not serious as she back in to shoot more freethrows.

She got in early foul trouble and didn't really need to shoot. I don't think she had an off night at all. When they put two players on you the entire game that means someone else is open, and mandy found them.

She was only out of the game a couple minutes, they didn't even retape her.

She actually was taken out of the game a minute or so after she sprained it, so everyone knew it wasn't serious.

I guess the EWU Coach decided to test the LG at the FT line which was stupid since they are the best FT shooting team in the BSC. Selvig was pretty funny in the post game show. He said he told an an official to call a foul, he said the official relied, "how many do you want us to call anyway?
 
Mandy is BSC womens version of Stuckey. Hard to believe the BSC has all american's playing in it. It would be hard to name 10 better or important players in the nation than Morales and Stuckey respectively for mens and womens hoops.

Also I honestly feel with Mandy, and offensive effeciency, the LG are a top 20 team. Too bad the conference is not too deep.
 
We would be close to cracking the Top25 if we didn't lose to #6 Ohio St. by 40 pts! That was a terrible loss, if we even lost by 15pts we would be ranked.
