MBBALL Malik Moore in Portal

Don’t like this one at all. Especially after Travis brought him in with an injury when no one else would. This one confuses me.
Makes you wonder if he's already been getting offers to other places. The other thing is he does have the chance to return. I wonder if he sees that Pridgen and Money return and if Cobra Kai's waiver gets approved if he will come back. There's a chance Sawyer could stay as well.

100% agree--Travis takes him in, puts him in a starting role, he does well, we win The Big Sky, go to The Big Dance with a shot at repeating next year, and he bails--I don't get it with one year of eligibility left for him. Maybe, some other school is waving a bunch of NIL money at him, but I doubt it !!!

If you don’t think there’s money out there for proven scorers, then you’d be wrong.

Kudos to Malik for having a very good season and now finding out what he’s worth on the open market. Travis could (and probably is) doing the same thing this week and you won’t hear any whining about that.

Coaches have been lining their pockets for the last 25 years in football and men’s and women’s basketball - taking massive pay raises and moving up when they are successful, as they should.

I find it hypocritical for fans to get pissed when players try to maximize their value in this new era of pay to play.

Or we do care. Strongly. This is a fan board, in this current media space that will dissect any and all situations that are apart of the University of Montana.

This stings.
It does if he indeed leaves, NEZD. From what GTID posted, he might just be testing the waters and might still, hopefully return.

I don't envy Travis and other college basketball coaches right now with the portal opening tomorrow--probably a lot of sleepless nights, full days at the office trying to piece your roster together for next year, living on delivered pizza 🍕 and coffee, and lots of Tums !!!

Bryce Zephir of The Bobcats has entered the portal with one year of eligibility remaining, he's 6-4, averaged about 19 minutes a game, 2 boards, 2 assists and claims another school has offered him big NIL money, thus he's left MSU and will publicly reveal in a week his new school.

So as much as I hate to admit it, another school might have indeed waved big NIL money @ Malik Moore, who played 30 minutes a game and averaged 12.6 pts. plus 3.2 boards per game.

Again the thing to note though is Moore did not rule out returning to UM. Zephir appears to have already made up his mind.

All the loyalty and character UM can afford. Maybe TDC got a Hallmark card from Moore, with something sentimental on it, recognizing how much he appreciates TDCs efforts, and faith in him, like:

'Rose's are red, Violet's are blue,
You took me in,
But, now I'll screw you!
🤣
