Make or Break Game tonight...question about henkel

I dont think you can underestimate the value of the EWU game. If the griz lose, not only will they be behind in the BSC race but more importantly their confidence will be all but shot.

I would not want to be on that team right now, Krysko seems to be about to blow up, team's not playing hard, playing like a team.

A loss tonight could utterly crippel the Griz.

---On another note, I see that Erik Henkel is getting little playing time and not having that big of a year. Is it true that Henkel was not offered a scholarship by Kennedy, should he have been, and is Henkel content to play at Eastern?? I am curious about the hometown players.

:o :o A win will do more good than harm. But a loss would not be panic city unless the Griz do not compete(which will not happen.) They were playing hard and as a team the last three times I observed them. Road game allows the Griz with 10 players who have started to play their guts out or observe the proceedings from the pine. No cripple city for any team in this conference unless they miss the tourney. ISU is in trouble if they do not win at MT next week and I do not know who the other candidate is going to be but it will not be Montana. Forget thur at PSU unless they host at the end. Kamarr is back and Criswell will dump the slump. :o :o UK 50 Ark50 9:20 left no answer for Henkel question

:o :o Game time is 8:05 MTN Eastern 4-2 will start.
Marc Axton 6-7 Sr 15.7
Henry Bekkering 6-6 Fr 6.6
Matt Nelson 6-9 soph 9.0
Deuce Smith 6-3 Jr 7.2
Danny Pariseau 5-11 Jr 5.7

:o :o It appears that the Griz could start just about anybody. McKay dislocated shoulder thurs after 1 minute. I do not know his status but the Griz would like to have him thurs to spend a little time with Lance Allred. :o :o

A loss tonight would not cripple the Griz. An 8 - 8 record, which with the Griz defense (or lack of) and problems winning on the road, will be a good record for the Griz and I think they can achieve it. The Griz do play pretty well at home and seems to be able to get away with things like lack of defense at home that they just can't when playing on the road. Plus, the Griz tend to handle pressure better at home than on the road. Most teams do.

Plus, I think the sixth place team will not have a .500 record in conference, something like 5 - 9 or 6- 8 record. 4 - 10 just might get a team in, but I doubt it. Griz will get into the tournament. Once getting in, anything can happen like in 2002.

I am not talking about a loss crippling the griz in the standings.

I just think that tonight could be the defining moment for the Grizzlies in conference play. If they play a solid, hard nose team game tonight and put it to the Eagles; I could see the Griz going on a big run in league.

A poor loss on the other hand with turnover and atrocious defense will really hurt the morale and conviction of the team IMHO.

I doubt that Krysko will let the latter happen.

:o :o After reading the above closley I can not see anything that I should make a point about disagreeing with but what about the sherlock holmes quiz early in the week. Is Baskerville Holmes the correct answer ?? Have you heard of Willie Sojurner and/if what became of his basketball career? :o :o

Yeah, ESPN anchors were calling WSU star Damien Baskerville, "Damien of the Baskerville's"

He was the star on the Weber team that knocked off I believe Michigain State and barely lost to Georgetown with Iverson.

Sad not for baskerville, I looked him up yesterday and found that he is serving 2, 5 year terms for pleading guilty to rape related charges.

Back to the subject, Griz and Eagles are tied at 45. If Griz lose, it will not utterly cripple the Griz. It is clear that the Griz are playing better. Just the fact that they are playing better, will give Griz plenty of confidence and the fact that they played better. Okay, EWU just burned the Griz for a 3 point shot and took over the lead.

Actually Reuben Nembhard was the star of the Weber team that beat Michigan State (Jud Heathcoat's last game ever) and nearly beat G-Town, but I remember Baskerville too.

I wonder if Jud was at the Griz/EWU game , as he now lives in Spokane, I believe.
