Magic number for Bauman?

If he doesn't go over 150+ then NAU won't even be close in this game. There will be alot more factors that could decide the game, turnovers, our offense suddenly being terrible, but for NAU to win without the Griz screwing up then I agree 250+ yards.

But I bet we keep him under a hundred and win comfortably.

Over 100 yards for Bauman is highly doubtful. The Griz will stack the box and force NAU to throw deep....something Poe has shown to be incapable of in the first 3 games. Add in ongoing injuries to the Jacks offensive line and this has all the makings of a long afternoon on Saturday. NAU defense has started well but I don't see them saving the offense this time around.

What do you guys have for injuries right now? For MT, we come in without Kjelby Oiland and one of the Hines brothers on our Oline. Luckily we have good depth on the line so we shouldn't have much drop-off. We're without starting strong safety Matt Hermanson this week because he had a minor run in with the law and is suspended. We lost one of our better backup linebackers in Jeramiah Kose to a season ending knee injury. We have 2 players in the secondary returning this week from ankle sprains (Rominger SS and Nelson CB). I think that's about the extent of our injury woes and such.

What happened to Oiland and Hines?

And please don't make that statement about "good depth"...that sounds like 'scat logic, and we see where that got them.

We'll hold him to right at 100 yds. Delaney is the type that prides himself on running the ball and stopping the run. nau looks young and undersized on the o-line and Montana big, fast, and physical on the defensive line(not to mention the backers). I'm sure Tye is preaching not to let Bauman beat them. I don't see nau's offense scoring much. They will need some scores on special teams or defense. We'll see Saturday :thumb:

OK, you heard it here first! Bo Tully will be the player of the game! Multiple stops on Bauman for loss and UM holds him to under 80 rushing yards... Thats right, I said BO TULLY!

If this scenario plays out then the Griz are in trouble.

He'll get his hundred, give or take, but it won't be enough. He needs over 200 for NAU to have a chance - and that ain't happinin.

With such a small line, I find it hard to believe that they will be able to accomplish much running inside. However, presumably a smaller line should be quicker, especially at getting to the edges so I believe we are going to be really good on the edges against the run. Our OLBs are really fast so I would expect to be able to keep NAU to something like a 3 yard average which won't be enough to beat the Griz. Stop Bauman on the edges and the Griz win comfortably.

He'll get 125-135, somewhere in that range. But I don't think it will be enough to win.

That said, I think this game is closer than many are predicting.
