Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean in Wa-Griz

They have Mumford and Sons playing the Litter box. Word has it that ticket sales are stagnant due to pricing, so much so that MSU asked if they could lower prices and were told NO by band management. They're a month away and it sure looks like there's over half the tickets still available. It will be interesting to see how this goes.
You're right.....looking like the event will have a lot of empty seats. I thought about going, but prices are outrageous. Not to mention they are charging $48 for parking. It looks like the show is being promoted by Outriders....the same group who does Under The Big Sky up in Whitefish. Not sure if MSU is co-promoting the event or they are just renting out the facility to Outriders.

Outriders must have a connection with Mumford and Sons because they played at UTBS last summer, or maybe the summer before.

Outrageous prices? I’m in $1350 for 3 Post Malone tickets, can’t imagine M&S command more than that. Don’t all you cat grads have high paying STEM degrees and bill at $200/hr?

I don’t think Mumford and Sons has the kind of draw at this stage in their career to fill stadiums

I agree. Seems like their tour could be Ill-fated like what happened to the Black Keys a few years back.
The Mumford and Sons show that tore up the turf at Orgren Park in 2019 really was a fun show. The Black Keys last year at Kettlehouse was one of the best ones I have seen out there. But yea I get that neither may be in the stadium sell out stages of their careers. Think about if you are a couple and you pay $200 per ticket and then stay at a $300 Bozeman hotel and drive from say Glasgow at $4.30 a gallon for gas, It would be a fun a show but damn. I'm a wait around and see tickets drop on StubHub person and I have gotten some great shows at a pretty decent price the last few summers.

A big downside to living in Montana is the lack of access to concerts and professional sports. The flip side is every concert that comes to Missoula is easy to get to from anywhere in town whereas venues in bigger cities like Red Rocks and State Farm Stadium might be an hour or more from my house.

For the size of the town Log Jam has done a pretty amazing job of bringing some really great shows to Missoula. In the last few years I have seen Pearl Jam, Tyler Childers, Pink, Nathaniel Rateliff, Robert Plant, Alabama Shakes, Black Keys, Gary Clarke Jr, Jason Isbell, Guns and Roses, Billy Idol, Brandi Carlile, Trampled by Turtles, Avett Brothers, Flogging Molly all just off the top of my head. There are more that I would have to look back on. Then add in the new group doing festival at fairgounds and those are some other nice draws. A lot of the shows play in Missoula and then Red Rocks or vice versa on their tour. For a town of 78,000 that is very impressive. I do wish we were closer to pro sports teams.

Moving to the SE has really elevated my concert viewing experiences. The down side is my Griz viewing experience has taken a steep decline.
