Lucas Johnson QB Transfer

Great, another Coach Hauck vanilla game manager. All of the mediocrity and lack of vision have us right where Griz football has been for over 20 years. Watching from the sidelines as a middle of the pack Big Sky team. Our family is super excited for the upcoming season. That was sarcasm

Thanks for sharing your sarcasm. I hope you can find something that will excite you. I am certain that search will probably mean this is your last post on eGriz since I would hate for someone to spend time on something that doesn't excite them. Goodbye.

Apparently you suck at math.

Never seen him play but I’m not super impressed by his numbers. Hoping he’s a hit but more worried he’s a miss.
You should do a little research before you're so dismissive. Suggest you watch a replay of the Frisco Bowl, Dec. 21 and reassess your post.

Definitely didn’t dismiss him, just overly cautious to get super excited over someone who’s only started one year and didn’t exactly have eye popping stats on a team that went 12-2. Sure he was playing better overall competition then he’ll face here but I’m definitely not sold on someone who has yet to even put on a Griz practice jersey. Will he be here for spring?

I understand your concern. But after watching the video from the Bowl game, all I can say is what he did in that game is FAR SUPERIOR to anything I saw from ANY of our back ups. Take a look at it, I think you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Ok wonder boy comes in and plays, what have we done to develop our QB's or do we have to wait for the second coming.

We’re really pushing the boundaries of what people will whine about. Great stuff, everyone. :thumb:

I think the bigger issue has been identifying and recruiting the QB position. I just think they have struggled to bring in kids with high upsides to develop so far. Granted, I don't know what they have in Britt, but I don't think KB has shown that he has more room to grow.

Bama, are you one of those guys who didn't like Humphrey because he didn't have eye-popping stats but all he did was win?

Truly remarkable. Everyone should be looking forward to what LJ will bring to the table. You serve some people tenderloin and they act like you gave them a dollop of dog shit.

This is about the last year Hauck can milk the UNLV and SDSU trains of people he might have contacted during his times at those locations....

Yes, I was also very cautious of getting excited about Cam and, unfortunately, was aboard the Kris train after spring. I liked that Cam was recruited to Boise but I have always worried about JC transfers. Cam definitely showed up though and now I’m really wishing we had him for a 2nd year🤣. Hoping Lucas does the same.

Watched the Frisco highlights, he has a lot of zip in the ball and can move in the pocket. Only worry is his knee. How badly did he hurt it?

I just watched the bowl game highlights and his Twitter highlights videos. Definitely like his athleticism. Hopefully his knee can stay healthy. Hopefully his accuracy is ok. That’s something I won’t be able to judge tell I see him play a couple whole games. He definitely seems more ready to start next season then Kris Brown though. I also really liked what I seen out of Robbie Patterson in the JMU game where he actually got meaningful reps. Reminded me a little of Dalton Sneed. Britt was a pretty good recruit too and the scout team player of the year last year. Mostly though I’m always hoping for that home run and this one has yet to clear the fence for me. Hopefully, he’ll put me in my place😊.

Robbie is gutsy and a dynamic runner, but I don't think he will develop into the passer needed to be a true dual-threat qb.

I think he could play in the slot.

Late to the party, but I am pretty excited that Johnson committed. Sorry if this offends.

So your saying that the discount auto parts store is about to close? Will "Big" game Bobby have to buy his own raw metal and manufacture his own parts? Holy shite, how will he find the time between that and having to deny his wife's adventures forging his name on bullshit MAGA letters.
