Anyone who is able to make it to the Griz game Saturday December 20 against Louisville I would recommend going. The KFC Yum Center is one of the nicest arenas in college basketball.
 
Only a 4.5 hr drive for me to watch some Grizzly basketball, plus i could get some Taco Johns. Thats a win win except that its days before Christmas. Not sure the wife would agree how beneficial the trip would be😁.
 
I was considering the Lady Griz game in Houston on 12/16. At this point, I think I am opting for the ACU Christmas classic with Abilene Christian on 12/19 and Tarleton on 12/20.

We went to see the Griz play at Houston two years ago and I had never been by that arena before, just no reason to go to the UH campus, but I was surprised that it was so small. I really expected a bigger place with the history of that program and a couple of really strong eras with the Big E and then Hakeem.

Basketball is a bigger deal in Louisville and that arena looks amazing. Just don't tell them KFC started in SLC.
 
Flights from this part of the country are poor. Even from Denver getting out to Louisville has limited flights but if you are already in the Midwest or south like Chicago where I know a few UM alums it is a reasonable drive to spend the weekend in Louisville and go to the game.
 
Bought my tickets earlier this week. Flying out of Spokane on Friday and coming back on Monday. Tickets weren't too bad. Staying at The Galt House and plan to enjoy Whiskey Row on Sunday.
