Looking for information on McGillis.

Hello,

Dawg fan here, congrats to you guys on a great year.

We we're hearing rumors about this Mcgillis kid from montana..that romar wants to walk on..

Anyone have any more indepth info..what kind of player he will be..etc

Good luck next year!

to suicidedoll this is your mslacat/monthoops response! mcgillis is the second coming. nowhere in the country can you find a 6'6 187Lb kid that thinks he can play the two. ok straight up micah downs who got a full ride to kansas looks like a beast compared to mcgillis. down is weak sauce to begin with. mcgillis had a good senior year. i don't care if you cant dominate aa basketball in montana 3+ years your not a pac ten calibur player. the reason mcgillis is even being asked to walk on is 1.udub might lose recruits to nba, and romar is friends with a man that coached jack at the H.I.T. tournament. plain and simple. Jack would be a good college 3-4 at a frontier college if he worked at it as is no way could he play at a big time level. griz/cats no way can he really play unless he hits the daren engellent weight/ it was cream program and play inside. mcgillis should take his frontier offer and be content! JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION BROUGHT TO YOU AS OBJECTIVELY AS I COULD! that is what this board is for anyways

:o :o Will depend in large part on where he decides to go to school and who he has for a coaching staff. :o :o

Mcgillis will be signing with Carroll in the near future. This isn't for certain, but it makes sense. Carroll has been feeding off Missoula B-Ball players for along time. Romar does have interest in Mcgillis, but there will not be a spot for him in Washington.

Jeff Hayes has sold him on Carroll with this simple phrase... "The biggest difference between Carroll B-Ball and Grizzlies B-Ball is that Carroll draws more fans to there home games.

WOW! Carroll should be a good experience for Jack.

OUCH :o :o :o

Carroll has an outstanding BB program and it is well supported by Carroll fans. I can see why it attracts the quality athletes it does. It does not, however, outdraw the GRIZ in attendance. Hopefully, a turnaround in GRIZ attendance will begin next year and the gap will widen. The GRIZ hoops program deserves better attendance and has begun to earn it.

Its true that romar does not have any scholies left. But he has offered a walkon spot to mcgillis.

I sure hope McGillis doesn't do this and goes somewhere he can play. He is a good player, but not that good. I fear he will ride pine for two years and ultimately end up transferring to a place like Carroll down the road so he doesn't have to sit out. I get the feeling a few years from now we will look back at his recruitment and shake our heads. Both on why he isn't at UM or MSU and why did he go waste time at UW. It looks ugly to me, I hope it works out for him.

I read this weekend that Webster is leaning heavily toward the NBA. Can't blame the kid if he'll go in the top ten. If he jumps to the NBA, will Romar have a schollie to burn? Any word of how this will play out in Seattle?

:o :o May be a good thing that most players are smarter than their fans give them credit for. :o :o

Romar still wouldnt have a scholie to burn. Right now the Huskies are one scholarship over. If Martell goes to league..will be set. But if martell is a huskie..something else would have to happen

(transfer, pay own way, some other magic)
