Hey, Bigtyme Pussy did they teach you dillywinkles to spell up there?
Mr. WSU Troll- the next time you embark on a trolling excursion over here, you might want to time it a little better. Last year's loss (on your home floor no less) to the Griz by WSU in the tournament was one of the biggest chokes I have ever witnessed! :o....and now you are over here trumpeting the invincibility of WSU hoops?????

Why didn't you mention basketball All Time Records since this is the bball forum. I wonder what the All Time Record is in basketball vs the 2 schools? Hmm......

Did you smoke so much crack today that you forgot You were the one who brought up football over here? I was just responding to your idiotic post about the Griz FB team.

Weber State 64 - Montana 45 Ouch!!! We own you bitches on the hardwood, and will on October 30.

So you've won 58% of the games... That's not exactly dominance over another program... 37 - 12 on the other hand does show some pretty serious ownage.

Oh, and just in case you needed a refresher about what happened on your own court last year in the Big Sky Championship game...here are some highlights :D

I hate when someone turns any thread into smack when not in the smack threads. Back to topic.
The Big Sky will be very deep with a good infusion of talent this year. Most schools are getting better recruits.

I expect Montana, Weber State, EWU, UNC, and Montana State to be the top 5. As to order, we will have a better idea of that come conference play.

As for Montana, in Qvale and Selvig I honestly see the GRIZ with the best post tandem in the league. I am pretty comfortable with SF too, but the position will take some time to solidify. I am also very comfortable with Stockton or Cherry directing the offense. Defensively Cherry will defend the quicker guards when he and Stockton are on the court together.

For the GRIZ the development of newcomers will be the key between a top 2 finish and a 5th place finish. As for Will Cherry, I fully expect him to have an improved and surprising solid perimeter shot this year. He strikes me as an extreme competitor with a desire to be the best. He has the "IT" factor in mental make up, tenacity, and attitude. Anyone underselling Cherry is blind or outright doing it to get under the skin of GRIZ fans. Cherry, Qvale, and Selvig all will at worse be 2nd team all conference this year. The supporting cast will determine the rest.

I am not here to smack back. I respect Rahe as coach. As long as he is there, I will always expect Weber State to be a title contender. I do think a few Weber State fans are going to eat some crow again this year when the GRIZ are battling it out for the title again. Providing Selvig, Qvale, and Cherry stay healthy, I am 100% sure the GRIZ "WILL NOT" be in the bottom 1/2 of the standings.

As a college basketball fan, I think I am being pretty realistic of who will be BSC contenders this year. I do wish a certain Weber State poster would show some class as well.

With AJ, and Staud gone I just don't know who is going to score for you guys. You guys had some really awful losses last season to MSU, EWU with AJ, let alone without. At other times you looked great, against us, and New Mexico. If Jamar or Hutchinson as Freshmen adjusts quickly, say by the time conference starts you'll be fine, but that is a huge if. Most likely a rebuilding year for Montana. Hope I'm wrong would love a rematch in the title game, in Ogden of course. :loser: 's

Staudacher's threat of a perimeter shot will be missed. He had his moments as a scorer. I think we can replace his scoring numbers just fine. As for AJ, it will be a chore to replace his scoring, and it will take a little bit from every guy. To think it will be done by 1 or even 2 players is not realistic.

Having 3 potential all conference talents makes the transition less painful. I believe Cherry, Qvale, and Selvig can all score 12 plus per game, at worse. Ward will put up some double digit games. Stockton will be expected to score more. In limited action, he has always shown the team plays well with him on the court, so I am not worried about that.

I would hope between Steward, Jamar, Hutch, Reader, Autry, etc we will find 2 more consistent rotational players. I do expect it to be a rollercoaster this year through mid jan. The big 3 will have to do more and let the others adjust into their roles and expectations. From a talent standpoint, they are very capable in doing it. The question is how long will it take?

Any rumors going around about Middleton maybe coming over to play for the good guys?
6-6, 253 and athletic. Averaged 19 points and I think 9 rebounds in HS at the PF. Ranked at a 76 in basketball but was one of the top recruits in the country at tight end. Says he loves Basketball.

We are a different team with a healthy Selvig.
Has anyone heard if he had surgery or if he is 100% ?

I am pretty sure Selvig had surgery and should be rehabbed come official practices. I spoke with him toward the end of last season. He admitted he was playing hurt, and somedays were better than others. At that time he mentioned having surgery in the offseason, then rehab.

Unless plans changed or they figured out something different, I do not see how he could not have avoided surgery of some sort. Anyone confirm or deny this?

Griz performed better than I expected this year, take it and shut up about the refs
get a shooting guard who can shoot and ya might be able to hang with Weber in the first half of next seasons games........

Instead of simply hanging WSU in the second half? :thumb:
