LK stays with the Griz ...

And I am astounded that GB1 totally missed my double twist ironic sarcasm in my post. Because, you know, it was right there. What my post really meant was "The answer is, the cow jumped over the moon. The moon."

I have no idea why he replied to my post in the bizarre way he did.

Well you took the bait, hook, line , and sinker once again. You prove the old adage, a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ is born everyday! I think the cats should hire you for a coaching position, that would assure many Griz wins. :thumb:

oh, boy...Hangman!!!!!
I guess boobcat

But back on topic, I think it comes down to success. LK's chances of fielding a successful basketball team over the next year or two are higher at Montana than at Pepperdine. The next year or two will give him the chance to bolster his resume. That will, in turn, bring about more interviews from power conferences.

i ditto the posts that are thankfull.

we all know he will leave...and we wish him all the success when he does...unless he's playing us!!!

Great!! Now, what do we need to do to get Larry more money for himself and his staff. It's really time to raise the bar if we don't want to be vulnerable to every offer that comes along. There's no reason we couldn't afford to pay these guys more.

That is being addressed at this time, care to contribute?

Anyone else who is serious PM and I will get you in touch with the parties involved. Several people have stepped up to the plate. Not everyone can but there are some than can and will.

Golllll-eee, GB1, you sure are gullible. I can't believe you fell for that! You know what they say, _______ is as _____ does. The rain washed off the trees and the cube divider laughed a laugh heavy with envy. Charlie Brown wept tears of jello. Have you been fit for your spacesuit yet? John Glenn is on the other line. Emoticon ... emoticon ... emoticon. Where art thou, emoticon?

The owl swept down from the trees and brushed past GB1's head, knocking him off balance. His foot became lodged in the dense brush snaking around the scraggly pines and oak trees in the thicket, and he tumbled to the ground. His impact with the soil awoke the spirit of Andumar, the great beast of the Tilden Forest. Andumar had been cast down by Retromide during the Great Dular of 1993, forbidden from returning to the surface until a man virgin to the ways of wit stumbled upon the root of the Tree of Spide in accordance with the prophesy.

With a lust for life and vengeance in his heart, Andumar rushed to the surface and devoured GB1. He immediately vomited GB1 back out in a pile a black bile, later explaining to a buddy over a vat of grog, "He tasted lame, and I totally can't stomach lame people." He then burped the full lyrics to "Copacabana" and wiped his armpits with GB1's tupee.

And then he wept over the loss of his dear emoticons, without which he could not sing.

While most fans are ecstatic that LK is staying City and nyc are , respectively, preparing for the Tinkle era? and seeing Krysko's staying as a wondeful boost to his marketability? And I'm picking out the satin lining for my coffin, the pallbearers, and the music - including Roy singing "Happy Trails" for when I (hopefully, in the far distant future) check out for the dirt nap. Why enjoy the here and now when City, nyc and I can skip all that?

On a more positive note, Larry has shown a lot of faith in the university doing him right. Now it's the Board of Regents turn to step up to the plate. And they better not screw Krysko and his staff over or I'll be extremely pissed.

That was funny Bac, in fact, it made you look like the gomer I figure most every cat fan to be. So good job living up to my expectations. atta boy.. :moon:

And back to the original topic (before GB1 took us down the path to see who could come up with the least sensical post, which I tell ya is not an easy contest to win), I am happy to hear that Larry is coming back to UM for at least one more year. A strong UM squad is good for the entire conference as it will force the rest of the conference to raise their games to a higher level. We rise and fall as a conference, so the more quality coaches and teams we have, the better. At the end of the season, having a strong conference is the difference between being a play-in tourney team and being a team that has a chance to do something impressive in the tournament.

Here's to another solid year for the Griz, and I'm hoping a much-improved Bobcat team. In years past we might have had the advantage over the Griz in head to head contests, but that happened when the Griz were down, as was the whole conference, so at the end of the season, it amounted to little. I want the Cat/Griz basketball series to mean something important again besides bragging rights, and if both teams are strong programs, it will bring the excitement back to college basketball in Montana, and that's a very good thing.
