You must have been one of the 26,000+ at the game, '68. Didn't come across on the TV broadcast. Guess they 'ROOTed' it out.
It was loud and clear to all there.

We got the ROOT game broadcast through our DirecTV Sports Pack (and also recorded it, thank God). Except for the glitch near the end, it was great. You could definitely tell (and the commentators mentioned) that the stadium was rockin'. One guy (I think the color one) said he'd done games before at WaGriz and it was as loud and on-going as he'd ever heard.

Did anyone else watch the FCS playoff selection show and catch the host calling the cats our little brother  Whether they realize it or not, that's how they are viewed from the national perspective, even when they have beat us a few years in a row.

couple other thoughts on that:

Did you notice how nobody stormed the field when we won?

Did you notice how they literally made a documentary and called it a "Miracle in Missoula" when they won here last time?

The moral of the story is act like you've been there before. until then - they will always be lil bro... regardless of their "success" against the Griz, or in the big sky.

I notice that they do the FTG chant at games they are not playing the Griz.

The crowd was told they would not be allowed on the field post-game.

The crowd was also told that after the 2009 App State game, yet the students still rushed the field. The only other time the field has been rushed was 2015 after beating NDSU.

The cats aren’t exactly App State. Or NDSU

Let's be real here. Montana fans don't rush the field after beating the Cats.

False, the field was not rushed in 2015. I was a student at the time and attempted to storm the field right when the clock expired. I jumped over the railing onto the field and not a single person came with. I was told I would be arrested or could climb back up. As much as I love WaGriz, the fun police are always on patrol.
