Here it is again:
[tweet]https://twitter.com/DB_Griz11/status/674302412383891456[/tweet]

This could be interpreted more than one way.
There is a context. The tweet follows one by Bruce Wahlberg commenting that cuts can be brutal, and a tweet by Shaun Rainey that Pflug and Parker had been let go.

Well I think most everyone would agree then. I'm a little slow today. Attempting to multitask. Cuts CAN be brutal, it IS deeper than just football, kids lives and futures ARE on the line.

I guess you are saying Harris was telling people to shut the hell up?

But how do you know he's talking about Stitt? How do you know he's not mad about the fact that people were putting the kids names out on Twitter? Do you have proof he was talking about Stitt?
He doesn't, but it sure is easier for his narrative that Stitt is just a bumbling fool who's ruining our players' lives.

Well, somebody is obsessed, that's for sure.

You don't have to guess. When I want to actually say something I will. Until then, I haven't said it.

I'd bet if we compared page space devoted to this topic, you'd be right, but it wouldn't be me.

You know, I don't even know for sure that he wasn't referring to Rob Ash or Dakota Prukop either. You don't have any proof he wasn't. How far do you want to stretch this?

You brought it up, not me. Do you want points?

Welcome to the FCS, Coach Stitt. It's a little different here. There's a professional and thoughtful way of handling these things. Just as I was critical of how MSU handled Coach Ash, I'm critical of this and the attitude at the presser. If you won't communicate with the "press," it's your fault if they have to rely on "sources."

So you have no issue with what Colter did?

Guessing truth is somewhere in between. There does need to be responsibility by reporters but we have seen a learning curve with this coach. Things with this whole day don't add up.

My wife is a reporter. You don't go to press (or twitter) with unconfirmed info. If I were Stitt I'd be pissed too...FOR the kids...

Not to talk about your wife but have seen bad reporting but have also seen administrative types pull ass cover. Just my point. Time will reveal. Obviously something transpired. Agree reporter needed to confirm but there seems to be some fudging by Stitt as well. Says it hasn't happened.

Seems to me Colter went all bobcat and reported guys were cut who in fact we're not cut. I suppose there might be more to the story, but it seems to me some pretty serious errors were made.

All of which could have been prevented, easily, had Bob Stitt simply done this the right way. Today was a rookie's error. Lesson learned? We will see.

I don't know enough about it. I do know how it could have been avoided.

"I'd like to start this press conference by naming all the kids who won't be on the roster after today" sounds like a much more professional way to announce it, right?

Oh man, please. This is after it blew up on him. And it was "angry," not informative. Do you get that at all?

All he had to say was there are players who will not be here next year as with any program. We are making our evaluations and will be meeting players in January. Obviously we have had discussions with players during the year. We have been candid in our evaluations. We will not discuss specific players today. We are not making any announcements today.

He also said it's ridiculous for these reporters to quote "sources" and use the word sources because he said Half the time they aren't true and that if you want the source it needs to be directly from Stitt. He was pissed. i'd say Colter has some explaining to do

There is zero reason to give Colter access. If I was Stitt, I would not. None. AJ, Kaimin and others do well for us. Colter's coverage of the Big Sky wit large...without the Griz...is like no coverage at all.

Colon Nuance is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.

UMGriz75 - On one hand you're complaining about Stitt not communicating with the press about players being cut. On the other hand you're complaining about Stitt making a generic statement to the press about how ALL players need to bust ass each year and keep earning their scholarship.

I'm getting the feeling that no matter what Stitt does you're going to find fault with it... If he talks to the press then you think he didn't say the right things and was bashing the players. If he doesn't talk to the press and some choad posts incorrect info on twitter then that's Stitt's fault too.

I think Stitt handled this perfectly fine. He didn't talk about the player cuts and later in the press conference only made a statement about how players need to earn their scholarship every year and can't coast. That isn't bashing any particular player or set of players. It's making a statement that everyone knows but may need a reminder of from time to time. Nothing wrong with that at all.
THIS!!
